WTF? Ugly, bloody scenes in San Jose as protesters attack Trump supporters

Odd that the "tone" of an article showing protesters attacking a woman physically makes them look like the bad guy.

You're funny.

Funny is right – one of the news article said “Trump paraphernalia was burned to the ground” and showed a hat burring on the side walk.

And the woman “physically attacked” had an egg thrown at her. Oh, the humanity!!!

There wasn’t even any significant damage from the “riot”, but they are selling it like aftermath of a soccer team losing….

MACS, the trump rallies were bad enough in March that his fellow Republican contenders were criticizing him for encouraging violence.

It isn't just one a-hole. On either side.

The groups protesting the trump rallies are bad as well. They are trying to block people's rights to assemble, and speak. They may be protesting (and even when they do it peacefully) but the tactics of blocking access and interrupting is just as bad as abortion protesters blocking access to clinics.

Of course, this thread is the first I've seen anyone complain here about the problem...

Somewhat true.
But consider the situations.

Regardless of who "started" the actual violence, virtually every instance was born from the leftist anti-Trump occupiers invading a group of Trump supporters.

You mean “freedom of speech” - right?

Face it: emotions run high when a large crowd is cheering on the guy they support. When a vocal minority gets in your face spewing their opposing vitriol it's bound to set somebody off. All it takes is one, and then mob mentality takes over.

When I attend NFL games at opposing stadiums, I know that I can route for my team. But if I chastise the home team in a vulgar manner then I shouldn't expect to be treated with respect. If I get my azz handed to me then I would have no one to blame but myself.

So you agree the Trump supporters should get their azzes handed to them ?

Great point Victor – You can to anything you want outside a health clinic, but don’t go messing with no Trump rally!!!

Legal or illegal is of no concern to me. This is the United States, and if you came here from somewhere else it was for a reason. No matter what the reason, this country was their CHOICE, and as such I would ask them to RESPECT IT, or kindly GTFO.

So you're saying that the Trump supporter didn't beat the black guy?

No, he didn't. One elbow to the face is certainly battery, but by no means was it a 'beating'.

Both of you are playing the whole "the violence of the group I support isn't nearly as bad as the other side is claiming" game.

I agree with him, on that count. Saying a woman who was hit with an egg was 'physically attacked' is stretching things.

Yeah I'd rather be knocked to the ground by an elbow to the head than get hit by an egg.

This was the stuff that was going on at the Trump rallies, then the protests started.

So we've cited one guy getting elbowed.

And that's what we're basing equal bad behavior on?

Adam Henrys on both sides. Violence and intimidation has been leaning more one way though.

I personally have little use for illegal Mexicans, but he pissed off and insulted all of the Mexicans.
What if he would have said his BS about another group?

There ya go... the old "he started it!" defense. Brilliant!! So your sister slapped you and you decided to beat her senseless and burn her belongings. Seems fair. Sarcasm

Yes, Victor... neither side should be resorting to violence, period. My main issue is with the a-holes waving Mexican flags and burning American flags on American soil. And THAT is why a lot of people support Trump... because instead of ignoring the border issue he says he will do something about it.

Whether he can or not remains to be seen... but at least he is willing to try instead of ignore it.

Bro, please find for me where I've defended HIM.

He's trolled HARD. And it's worked.

I have no intentions of voting for him. I'm sick and tired of too many not seeing the forest through the trees, and I'm tired of the one sided reporting.

Also, he's said that he "loves the Mexicans".. ...

FYI I'm drinking bourbon right now while two clean my house.

Ok. In that instance you pull a gun and go to jail. Since I can carry too and you pulled first it could get messy. Assuming either of us live your legal issues are greater than mine.

In Ohio your vehicle is your sovereign property akin to your home. I am well within my rights to use lethal force to stop someone entering or even attempting to enter my home or vehicle. Stomping the hood or roof counts.

one guy stomping your car...i think the aforementioned is hard to prove

it gets more interesting if there is a mob bashing in your windows but the burden of proof would be on you

if you are in wv or texas you probably walk

if you are in jersey, chicago, dc, etc then flip a coin

I don't have to prove it in Ohio. I only need show reasonable fear.

In all fairness I was trying to play the FOXNoise game....

Violence is not called for on either side - plainly.
And plainly Donald Trump disagrees with me on this. "Punch him in the face" were his words I believe. So I have to believe that his supporters agree with violence and bullying being not just ok - but the way to go. Am I wrong?

I would point out the the responce Don has created shows how provocative his statements are. He is trying to pick a fight - and now it seems he has one.

The Irish wouldn't care.

Only thin skinned whiners get upset when a subset of your group is insulted.

The Legal Mexican Americans should hate the illegals the most. Think about it. You skimp and save for years to afford a long legal process. Your neighbor sneaks over and not only steals your job but gives your race a bad name.
And yet, the liberals cry out for all Latino's when someone says something derogatory about the illegals.

I didn't say the woman was harmed. But she WAS physically attacked.
It's a woman and some dude hurls an egg at her face?
And you're defending him because you line up politically. Or should we say pathetically?

And before you split a panty liner, you are "defending him" by downplaying the significance of his actions.
I guess if it were your mother or sister it would be OK to be on the receiving end of an egg thrown by a Trump supporter?
Of course not.

Freedom of speech? You mean like yelling FIRE in a crowded theater?

And you need to re-read the football analogy. The Trump supporters are the "home" team at a Trump rally. Sorry to confuse you.

Dude, Trump went to San Jose - Silicon Valley. These are the smart people. Not the blue collar raccoons that support him. He was NOT on the home field. It was like Obama at a KKK cook out.....

But you are correct about the "freedom of speech" reference. I was framing it in conservative thought.

Yeah. That's the fallback. If you disagree, you're a bigot or a misogynist.

I don't have issues with blacks or women being president, obviously. Just don't think Obama was good and I think Hillary will be even worse.

The best part is the very supporters of Trumpy have no fn clue what he is gonna do. Nobody does, if he gets elected he can go on to make George Bush look like he was a genius! As the old saying goes "be careful what you wish for, as you may get it.

No women should have to endure an egg to the face, it's disrespectful at least, and it would light my fuse to say the least. It's also wrong to be fistfighting over politics. A few short years ago we were laughing at other countries for their politicians doing this. Now we are sinking to their level.

So, it's ok for an illegal alien to burn the flag, while wearing a Mexico flag, and throw eggs and sucker punch people because they support someone who wants to enforce the laws. .?? Huh

If that comment is addressed to me Drafter, you have no idea about me, I've been against illegals for years, and I definitely don't agree with burning the flags. On the other hand both sides left the gates open for their own reasons, and something has to be done to bring them into being legal. Their is nothing worse than any group thinking they have no control over their future, and because they don't contribute, they are left to be a burden on everyone else.
