Home from the racetrack and I'm greeted with packed bags by the door....

Wife got camping reservations.

So, after 4 days of not sleeping and being too sweaty, I got two more.

I need an air conditioner in camper.

If they were packed with a note that said "GTFO" and the locks were changed... that would have been bad.

"Honey, we're going camping" sounds great by comparison, no?

Subway Steak wrap, chips and soda. Not bad, for Subway. Dining choices limited on this base just like the last one.

Considering a proposal for artificial turf in my back yard. Turf and decorative rock... 4 large.

About 725 sq ft of total space. 2/3 grass, 1/3 rock. Seems excessive, but that's the lowest quote I got.

It's eco-friendly, but it sure ain't wallet friendly. I do believe I get a tax break, for it, though.

Sheet.

Had a dump truck of crushed limestone, delivered, for 350. Paved over about that much sq footage.

Wont it potentially melt in the 118 degree heat?

I like the rocks but you should bring in some sand and cactuses and stuff... Maybe a few Gila monsters... You'll need some tumble weeds too... Mellow

Funny you ask... not really, but sometimes glare off of glass or shiny metal objects can concentrate the sun's rays and damage it. They looked for such during the quote, and while there is a bit of glare off one of my windows it's minimal.

Sounds like a fun thing for neighborhood kids. Instead of roasting bugs with a magnifying glass, they can write obscenities on your lawn.

oh man... last year a couple kids were playing on their grandma's pontoon boat and decided to draw a couple 4ft. d^cks on the carpet with sunscreen.. don't know why.. but it didn't just dry up and go away.... it took months before they faded away... Mellow

Nope, not in the people hunting business. Even with the full force of the US government I might not have been able to find CROS

Finally home.

Its times like these I appreciate air conditioning a LOT.

It's been 90°, sunny, humid every day. And not much better at night.

Installed a window unit a/c in the camper, but it was too taxed and kept shutting off the compressor for overheat.

Gonna pick up some overtime and spend the $$ for a new 15k btu camper unit.
