But looking the furry kids in a cage don't get you strange looks from the neighbors followed by a visit from the cops.

Been there!

Happy Father's Day. It's also my oldest daughter's first wedding anniversary, and my late best friend's wedding anniversary with his wife. Her first one without him.

So kinda a somber day with some celebration too. Smoke 'em if you got 'em (PALAMA'S LOW!)

Awesome, and overpriced meal at a swank spot in town tonight.
Note to self: Wagyu beef is really good. Not $5 an ounce good, but really good.
Did find a really good Syrah, and pizzed off a stuffy, overbearing old crone when I dared to engage her husband in conversation about his....you guessed it...watch.
Sue me. I have a pattern.

Happy Father's Day! Kids made me these painted canvases (small) that used their hands to make fish. Love them! Also got some nice Columbia fishing shoes a few weeks ago that were an early Father's Day gift. My dad came over for lunch and some DQ ice cream cake. Then dinner from Swensons. Good stuff, great day!

Have a good night gents.

My intent this eveing was to grill chicken (one jr monkey and Mrs Monkey), sear some tuna (other jr monkey and myself), then enjoy some Balvenie and an Andalusian Bull (nh). The weather had other ideas. Sitting in the garage, still with Balvenie, but paired with a MF LB petite robusto. Spending some quiet time reflecting on almost 21 years as a father, as well as my father, grandfather, great-grandfather and other dads that have been influential in my life.

Mine was 3.40 a pound. You smoke it exactly like a pork butt and pull it. I prefer it to pulled pork.

They usually are not out at Costco but they always have them. They cut them in to different things but if you ask them for a full chuck roll in cryovac they'll have some. Always.

Love em.

Got a new run capacitor for my air conditioner. Wiring diagram only showed a start/run for the fan motor, and a 25mfd run cap for compressor. Thought that was strange and underpowered but whatever.

Took it apart and there is indeed a start cap. And the run cap tests fine.

Little weevil charred across the terminals with blowout burn marks on the case behind it.

Ordered the start cap. Too late for next camping trip though..

So far today lots of coffee, one glass of tea, one quarter of a donut as big as my hand and a footlong Subway sub. Yeah, like smoking cee-gars, playing with bombs or riding motorcycles is gonna kill me.

Guess the footlong counts as two servings of veggies, so I got that going for me.
