Had my annual eval at work today.

Went well. Got raise. Bumped up my 403b contribution again. Last 5 raises went to retirement. Someday...

Would be nice to have that money now though.

Gonna make a last minute weekend trip to Monterey.
Getting my dive equipment ready to do a couple kelp dives. Maybe I won't be eaten by a shark.

Scratchy throat and a headache.

Powering through with coffee, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

Watching Free State of Jones.

Not the best acting ever. Certainly no Gettysburg.

I'm cooking some BBQ ribs... still not feeling 100% myself. I don't recall the last time I had an illness that has affected me like this. 10 years at my current job and it's the first time I have ever called in sick for 2 days.

Sinuses still congested. Ears still half plugged because of it. Still wheezing, but I think I got most of the congestion out of my chest. I was damn sure gonna go fishing if I could have found a partner...

Al has been gracious enough to invite me for a pool party/BBQ with his family and close friends, but I don't think I'd be very good company, and even though I'm probably beyond being contagious... better to be safe with little ones around.

It amazes me how his whole family just welcomes me like I've been a friend for years. Herfing

Was planning on playing the Bones for Sticks with the Brothers. Only about 12 hours into The Scratch. Not sure if it is a cold or allergies. Probably staying home.

I feel you guys on the sickness. My daughter brought home strep throat and gave it to my wife. A week later I get the new and improved version!

The Weather Geniuses completely blew the forecast- thankfully.

Sun mixed with clouds, with only a 20% chance of rain now, vs 50% they guessed yesterday.

I just slathered a pork butt in mustard and rub. Started a pot of Chili. Made the taco meat and grated some cheese. Now a Boli RC, and some Blantons
