You're going to have to get your story straight with everyone else.
I have stopped trying to figure out what's going on in the tiny minds of people.

We were discussing a pedo running for congress as a republican in 2017. You stated that the hypocrisy in Cbid is deep, because in your mind no cbid democrat posted about a 1983 sex scandal with a 17 year old page.

Now... I know you're not too good with numbers. But 1983 is number that comes before the year that Cbid existed (2002?), so while I am absolutely shocked that no one posted on cbid about that scandal in 1983, I'm even more shocked that cbid democrats aren't still posting about it for the past 34 years. It's shameful. We should have a memorial. 1983 - never forget!!!!!

Now, whether you were raising the unforgivable oversight of not posting a thread annually to commemorate the butt-poking of a congressional page for the past 34 years because you are an aficionado of this scandal and believe it should be discussed often, or because you wanted to "buthillary!" a slightly more contemporary scandal, I don't know. Because I can't possibly understand what motivates you. Thus I did not state definitively that you are trying to defend the pedo.

I love irony.
You insult with the "tiny minds" snippet, then you go on to prove that you can't follow a discussion that branches out.

A pedo is running for congress.
CBid libs are hypocritical.
Hypocrisy is common with libs, as evidenced by a similar event from some years ago.

Now, for your last paragraph I see you again fall into the "but Hillary" defense posture.
That's just too precious to even guess why you land there every time.

I've admitted a shortcoming in my viewpoints stemming from the left mindedness of my region. I see the hypocrisy first hand 24/7 (or so it seems). Perhaps if I lived in a rural southern red state I'd be awash in hypocrisy from the other side. But I can't be bothered to compare and contrast.

Funny thing though. We both think Moore shouldn't get elected. And yet you feel compelled to insult and debate.
Which is the Trump thingy. I get it.

I agree about allred. She’s an ambulance chasing opportunist. She seems to show up after allegations already exist.

Her and her client were not part of the initial or core allegations and I’ve always thought the yearbook meant nothing. It proves only that they met. It’s not proof of anything.

The fact she added the date and his title (I’m not sure if it was back then or recently) means absolutely nothing unless you are somehow searching for a reason to support or are rooting for a pedo. It’s still his signature and proves nothing but they met. It doesn’t prove or disprove anything else but the folks that want it to will certainly say it did.

There’s enough evidence out there to decide if you are on team pedo or not. At this point folks are just fooling themselves and are looking for plausible gyrations to justify the unjustifiable.

I respect the person who says I don’t care if he is a pedo he’s a Republican so I will or would vote for him if I could. At least that’s honest. This other smokescreen is laughable.

I dunno TW. Maybe I'm not normal in this case but I find the signing of the yearbook and the card he sent the other girl supremely creepy. I remember my late 20s/30s and there is no circumstance where I would have had reason to talk to a girl in her mid teens, no circumstance where I would think signing their yearbook is anything other than creepy. It's just weird... like Michael Jackson weird (so not necessarily pedo but definitely pedo adjacent)

Looks like Fox News has to run a correction on the “forgery” story that drove some of the other alt right news sources mentioned in here. I wonder if anyone got suspended.

Well stated.
So maybe it wasn't "pedo" or illegal. But it was most definitely creepy.

Not news...nor authoritarian list...and not all are sex harassment or sex assault...but interesting nonetheless

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_political_sex_scandals_in_the_United_States

Not every congressman, SC Justice and president is listed....but I'll bet 'most' could be.

In fact, I know of one not listed, but highly regarded nonagenarian who put his tongue down the throat of a young woman I know...during what was expected to be a 'friendly hug'....Bush 41 was a well known azz-grabber during photos....I suspect there's few here in DC that are very 'innocent' of 'improper behavior'.

What I find most interesting...or perhaps troubling is the disconnect between Trump and the rest of the R's. Haven't validated the numbers, but I read somewhere that 43 R Senators are opposed to Moore (or think he should drop out, or something.)

If that many Republican Senators think that electing Moore is worse than losing a seat to the Dems....well, how come they can't get Trump on the same page? Where's the disconnect?

Well, I did my part this morning, but I expect that, as usual, I will not be on the winning side.

I believe the last Democrat elected to the Senate from Alabama was Richard Shelby in 1992. He switched to Republican in 1996 and continues to hold that seat. I will yield to Burner and Madspackler’s knowledge on this, however. They’ve been here longer than I have (14 years).

All he would say is “a distinguished Republican,” so I’m not sure. Interestingly, one of the volunteers at the polls asked if I would be writing in a candidate as they had to give special instructions.

I haven’t seen a big push for a particular candidate, but I’m clearly not their target audience.

Still predicting Moore to win by 10+ points. Haven’t seen any sort of exit polling yet.

I gotta admit, I'm probably gonna laugh for days if Moore wins.... it'd sort of seal the Republican party's reputation as "Nazis and pedophiles"....

Frightening enough... I think I posted about this before the Moore scandal... as a joke. For it to possibly come true kinda amuses me.

This is a cigar forum. Pretty much everything here counts as WGAF... but you decided to throw your two cents (really more like 0.004$) on an exchange between tail and i. You did so in a manner that proved once again that you don't really understand the basic underpinnings of logical discourse. Your doubling down on the WGAF just reinforces that.

Now go back to voting for your state-pedo...

Did you just brag that you're just posting "WGAF" in response to stuff without reading it?

There is something very sad about a grown man posting 13 year old responses.... You do realize there is nothing to brag about in being completely ignorant... right?

yah...at least half of the GOP US senators withdrew their support for Moore before the election, and a significant number say he'll be the subject of a Senate Ethics Committee investigation if elected.

If he is elected, he'll provide a key vote ... it'll be interesting to see if all the GOP NerverMoores will be true to their values, or will expose themselves to be hypocrites/political hoes who put power and party ahead of any morals or values...like many of the GOP NeverTrumps did...

They will be doing gyrations trying to square their pre-election anti-Moore rhetoric with their post election bon homie with the GOP US Senator from Alabama...

Then we get to see this circus all over again in less than two years when Sessions' term is up...at the same time as Trumps' ...he and Moore will be linked...and they'll be the fuzzy ball of yarn the fat-cat media will be batting around...the joy...

I don’t think any effort should be made to remove him. That’s a dangerous precedent.

We just need to accept there are pockets of the country that empbrace accused pedophiles and proven bigots.

Moore is a creep.
I hope he loses, but I'd be just as happy if he wins and then steps aside to be replaced by the governor.

In the meantime, half the people posting here probably have a grandmother who was married by age 15.

And those grandmas married at 15 were probably married to 18 or 19 year olds... not mid 30s.

at 15, my grandmother was still a few years away from crossing most of Europe from Romania to get here.
She married a man (also from Romania) she met here who did the same thing, only with a much higher degree of difficulty.

they were in their 20"s.
