Just to give a heads up so you wingnuts dont start worrying.

My wife has decided I need to be out of pocket for a bit. Meaning no PC, no Cell Phone, no Smoke signals etc. She has decided I am going to the mountains in Chattanooga for a week to get back to my roots of country living. I have got to decide how many cigars to take. Also it looks like it is going to be cool week with the weather ranging from temps of 35 to 55 in them thar hills. So if I do not chime in tomorrow its just because I am trying my best to remember to pack all my damn meds.

3 eggs, 2 toast, 2 hash browns, 2 coffees.

Cardiff v. Brighton to start the PL morning.

A nap might be more exciting.

Morning, Monkey.

Since I have been walking with only slight knee pain recently, I decided to get the old road bike out for a spin. The Masi Gran Criterium has been hanging in the garage for years. Used to be able to maintain about 22mph for a 100 mile race.

Couldn't even get up to 20mph over 5 miles. Now my knee is swollen. Getting old SUCKS!

Thinking of you this morning, as I drink from a coffee cup you gave to me about 8 years ago.

Windy morning here. Heard some noise outside last night and opened the deck slider to see a 250-350 lb. bear about 4' from me. Very little on the deck, so I'm not sure what all the noise was..

Haven’t caught any games this morning. Mrs Monkey headed to Tuscaloosa (she and my youngest twin have season tickets), I’ve got a fraternity brother and some of the boys’ friends coming over to watch Alabama, then Miami lose to Georgia Tech. Some of them will expect Auburn vs UGA to be on, but they will be disappointed.

Some whiskey, a few martinis and cigars on tap.

Never happened to me, so I'm curious what one does in this situation... Do you go for a full shower, clean-up, and clothes burning right then and there or do you just baby wipe yourself down and place the soiled clothing outside for the morning fire pit?

Well, I just yelled "get out of here" and he left. No clean up required. I'm not afraid of bears, there are many around here and they generally avoid me.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers Pops is been in the hospital since last Monday. He has alot going on he has a type of cancer known as CLL which is a type of leukemia. Been fighting it since 2008 now he has this afib going on with the heart the medication is starting to help with that but not fast enough.I don't think the cancer doctor knows what to do at this point. At least the cardiologist are asking questions and giving him platelets they did not give him none yesterday the count dropped 10000 today the doctor is giving him 4 bags today.

Cleaned up leaves and sticks n stuff all morning despite the cold.

Went to tarp the camper but there's a sheet of ice over the roof. Not walking around up there today. Tomorrow should be warmer.

Family thing tonight.

still one potentially blow out quarter to go, but after 3, Boston College is hanging tough vs Clemson...and they lost their starting QB very early in the game.

I've had frequent leg cramps for a long time so increased my use of yellow mustard years ago. Dunno if it'll help you but it's worked for me.

Warmer today, upper 30's so I got some stuff done outside.

Cleaned the roof and tarp wrapped the camper.

Installed the new axle on flatbed trailer and rewired a few things. Still gotta rewire the trailer plug but my fingers weren't moving well enough in the cold to get that done. Might try later and bring the kerosene heater out with me.

Still catching yellowtail and bonito at the islands... I've signed up to go out on the San Diego with my buddy and his wife, but only 7 people have signed up so far.

They usually get a handful of walk-ins, but I am not sure if the trip is a go with so few signed up. I've seen him go with 13, and I was one of them. I killed it that day.

I thought queer weather was when it was warm enough for the any Provincetown Parade. Lots of skin showing on those days.

I've been using quite a bit of yellow mustard recently, didn't know it was supposed to help. My soon to retire doctor told me that Cal-Mag tablets were good for cramps, and I did take one last night.
