Overnight low in the mid 40's and more snow and ice disappeared. Supposed to hit 62 today with possible showers in the afternoon and evening. Not going back to freezing temperatures until Saturday night.

Watch your back - it's the Ides of March.

The boy is 5, and getting him to get ready in the morning is the hardest part of the day... He's got no motivation... But today he has a field trip to the zoo... He came into our room and woke us up at 645, fully dressed, shoes and sox on...

Anyone else wonder if danm just has a Sims game and really just sits around all day playing that? Then logs on here and tells us everything his little Sims character did?

Can invoice doc but he'll have to check with his insurance to see if you're in their network

Took the daughter fishing for an hour... Didn't catch, but saw a ton of wild flowers, stopped on the way to the lake to look at horses, and then saw some wild Turkey's on the way home... And she didn't complain once... Huge victory...

think you can swing by one morning?
I could use a few sections of my cedar fence replaced (winter damage) and would love either a new shed or a second garage (attached).
Garage won't need heat but a half bath would be a nice touch.
Lemme know.

I try to make my appointments first thing in the morning so the doc has no reason to be late. Still have to wait maybe 15 minutes sometime. Some of that being "late" is self-imposed.

I have an annual neurology appointment which didn't go down today. THEY f'd up on the appointment card they gave me. Their calendar sez it was yesterday. But the appointment card I had in my wallet had today's date on it. Can I charge them for the 1.5 hours I wasted in traffic to get there and back?

Ahh man, lord knows I been through this one many a times. What really chaps my ass is the ones that tell you to be there 15-20 minutes early before your appointment. You end up waiting that time plus whatever time the Dr is "Behind" Its like why in the phug did I need to be here early when the tard is an hour behind. Its like I could have not only been at home for another 20 minutes, I could have been at home for the 20 minutes plus another 40 minutes and still gotten there 20 minutes before I was seen. For some educated people they are dumb as a freaking brick sometimes. A phone call from em or a text message would be great. If a Dr has to spend 70 minutes with a patient that is not scheduled time sounds to me like he needs to send em to the hospital.

Sometimes I wonder if they can charge the insurance for you taking up space in the waiting room. Like when you go to the hospital and all the rooms are full and they stick you in the hall, you still get that room charge even though you was treated in the hall and never stepped foot in a room. Been there a few times as well. When I had fractured my tibial plateau all treatment was done in the ER hallway. To boot they didn't even see the fracture on the x-ray and treated it as a sprain. I ended up doing more damage by following their advice of walking on it. I still got charged for everything including a Room Fee. Then add the charges from going to the Dr due to the pain and it was he that looked at the x-rays from the ER, seen the fractures, done another x-ray to find out I was almost at the point of needing pins put in my knee due to walking on it per the hospitals advice. Ahhhhhhhh damn it. Now I am bent. Brick wall

I hope your appointment wasn't over nothing serious.

Naw, here they don't think about the baby woks.

At best they might put one of them houseplants on sale at walmart for em to climb on. Thing is they don't put em on sale for the baby woks. They put em on sale because the houseplants are half dead to start with. It's kind of like when you buy live fish from walmart. Then, you bring the half dead plant home, baby wok goes to climb on it all happy, branch breaks, baby wok hits its little head on the brick fireplace mantel, goes to the hospital to find out they have a basilar skull fracture, they end up mentally and psychologically damaged because they got there 20 minutes early but the Dr was 60 minutes behind so the hematoma damages the brain. Then you just end up with a huge worthless hospital bill, a dead plant and a phugged up baby wok. Makes me miss the times of my youth of huge forest for miles living in the blue ridge mountains. Here it's just dilapidated buildings and a chit load of people with the all about me millennial syndrome that think they are special because they put a half dead houseplant on sale. Think
