Ahh man, lord knows I been through this one many a times. What really chaps my ass is the ones that tell you to be there 15-20 minutes early before your appointment. You end up waiting that time plus whatever time the Dr is "Behind" Its like why in the phug did I need to be here early when the tard is an hour behind. Its like I could have not only been at home for another 20 minutes, I could have been at home for the 20 minutes plus another 40 minutes and still gotten there 20 minutes before I was seen. For some educated people they are dumb as a freaking brick sometimes. A phone call from em or a text message would be great. If a Dr has to spend 70 minutes with a patient that is not scheduled time sounds to me like he needs to send em to the hospital.
Sometimes I wonder if they can charge the insurance for you taking up space in the waiting room. Like when you go to the hospital and all the rooms are full and they stick you in the hall, you still get that room charge even though you was treated in the hall and never stepped foot in a room. Been there a few times as well. When I had fractured my tibial plateau all treatment was done in the ER hallway. To boot they didn't even see the fracture on the x-ray and treated it as a sprain. I ended up doing more damage by following their advice of walking on it. I still got charged for everything including a Room Fee. Then add the charges from going to the Dr due to the pain and it was he that looked at the x-rays from the ER, seen the fractures, done another x-ray to find out I was almost at the point of needing pins put in my knee due to walking on it per the hospitals advice. Ahhhhhhhh damn it. Now I am bent.
I hope your appointment wasn't over nothing serious.
