After beer bottling I went to Lowe's and stuffed a bunch of wood in my car. Made the first of I think 6 4x8' planters for the woman to garden in
It's ok... But I think I'll make some design changes going forward.

If you Google Sams Club Raised Garden Bed, they make one for around $40... You're gonna run into lots of issues with wood... I've got 6 wood, 4 of the sams club ones...

I made a 28x2 raised bed around the deck 5 years ago and already need to replace it. All rotten. Gonna do stone.

Yeah... On the upside this only needs to last about 5 or so years... Hopefully.

I use driftwood logs from da beach. They last about 4 years or so, then I swap em out.
Free, and looks cool....

We have a smart squirrel. Figured out he to get to the bird feeders somehow. Never had one that got on the feeders yet. It even figured out the trap door feeder that closes when there's too much weight on the perch.

Sitting on the deck with beer, cigar, and rifle. There's no squirrels in sight.

My wife designed an intricate system to foil the squirrels. We watched a red squirrel get to the beginning of it and stop. look things over and then leave the way he came. That was about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday a gray squirrel made the trip and without a pause or stop crossed right over the deterrents and onto the feeder. Back to the BB gun.

Vinyl records... Put the bird feeder on a rope, string the rope through the hole of a record on each side of the feeder... They try to climb over it and it spins...

Mixed up about a tablespoon of Dave's Insanity Sauce and Da Bomb Beyond Insanity sauce each with a quarter cup of water.

Poured a feeder filler scoop of bird feed into a ziplock, and put the horrible hot sauce mixture in there and tossed it around. Refilled the feeder.

Birds are unaffected by the hot stuff. Mammals are.

We'll see if this helps, even if just for this fill. Couldn't shoot any of them, because none came by.

Funny. I feed our squirrels and am tempted to shoot the birds.

He hides nuts in his belly button....

When they dig to get it, they get swallowed up like some giant sarlac pit.

That makes sense....

Prolly why mine keeps autocorrecting "wife" with "future occupant of a shallow grave" and suggesting singles sites....

I'm holding out for mandating penguins....they look so classy in those little tuxedos, and if they're paying for dinner, even betterAnxious
