Cabin Fever Syndrome (CFS) has set in. So, I am draining the pool quite a bit to get ahead of the rain that is falling and that which will come. Sprayed all the beds and hedges for weeds. Gonna unload the dishwasher and clean the kitchen dishes as the wife has to work overnight during the height of the storm. She had to work yesterday too. Anyhow, it presently looks like the storm will be a CAT 2 with the the center being about 80 miles from Orlando with peak wind and rain bands gusting expected at 40-50 mph. Took all the pool furniture in to the covered patio. Now, lets just pray the power stays ON!ram27bat

Not a climate change matter. Just a pain in the ass. I think we will be relatively luck with just hurricane gusts and tropical storm force winds. Quiet before the storm right now. Tonight may be a whole different story...

Did I say CFS has set in? Called a bunch of nearby restaurants. All are closed. Gonna get in the car with my daughter to find some place open. Probably Chines or Japanese will be open (they always are).

They were calling for a direct landfall in lower FL east coast. Cat. 5 if I remember correctly.
In less than 4 days it was downgraded to a Cat. 2 and the eye will be off the coast for a good distance.

Now, a Cat. 2 is no laughing matter and I hope everybody in it's path will be safe. However, how can the climate change
alarmists predict what's gonna happen in 12 years when they can't even predict what's gonna happen in 4 days?Think

The polar bears are doing just fine. As a matter of fact, they're thriving.......SMH

Again, everybody be safe!

Thanks for finally settling this issue and alleviating everyone’s concerns.

I find it funny that the global warming alarmists always want to point to science, when in fact the science doesn't say what they claim. Polar bear numbers? Up. Walruses? Up.

These same people will point to science and tell you the skeptics are "science deniers"... yet they'll tell you we have more than TWO genders when science clearly shows 98.2% are either XX or XY... male or female... with a small accounting of "what happened there?"

I wouldn’t lump all scientists into one bin.
But when they come to a consensus on something, I might listen.

You don’t have to

When scientific consensus comes to a different conclusion than many people want, they reach for straws. In this case they laugh at lowering the usage of plastic straws because they won't admit the damage plastic is causing. MACS needs to espouse his view as correct even though science doesn't agree with him. Though not on the same scale, this is similar to the POV of flat earthers. I don't consider him or those like him a science denier, rather simply wrong, and tedious with his repetition.

That's a damn lie. They haven't come to a consensus. And science isn't about consensus it's about facts. That "97% of scientists agree" was bullsh*t.

Yep. And I'm damn sure glad Columbus reached for some straws when every scholar out there said the world was flat.

Consensus, mob rule, what's the difference? If you're on the opposite side you still get beat down. d'oh!
