Good Saturday Morning! It's just 68° on the way to 87° today, nice break from the heat. Going to another American Rimfire Association match today, and my wife is shooting her first match, I hope she does really well.

77 at present. Dog walk complete. Sposta rain today, but I don't mind... nowhere to be and it cools things down quite a bit.

Smoked two 9lb butts on the egg last night.

One is a keeper and the other a gift.

I see pulled pork tacos in my Sat P.M. future.

Less than five hours of sleep. Unsure what my issue is.
Slow start to the day. Did get 17 minutes of cardio- rare.
On the most fun note of the day, in the 62nd minute, Brentford 4 …. Manchester United 0.

Dealership called. "Our technician has looked at the truck and it's a transmission issue" ...yeah. why you calling? I literally brought it in and simply said "transmission issues" I left a note for the tech with the codes and operating parameters for when it fugks up but service writer was told "trans issues".

Can someone other than that Celticbomber a hole help me? He won’t respond. At least that’s what his wife says.

got some good news yesterday...Lauren's MIL called and said she had to forfeit a week at her Kona, Hawaii resort timeshare...

like the gentleman that I am, I quickly stepped up and offered to take the hit...she called the resort and told them I would be going in her place...added a few rental days to extend the visit... so I'll be leaving Thu and will be back on August 28...my birthday...

That’s definitely starting to sound like a transmission issue.

Ditto...

Maybe, just maybe there are issues with the transmission. Although... they might want to take a second look at the tie rod guards too. Them things can be tricky to diagnose.

Lolz. Can't make this chit up. Wife's car rear ended for the 4th time. We've had this car for 4 years and it's been rear ended every year.

This time wasn't even on the road. We were at my inlaws for a birthday party and an Amazon driver came to deliver a package and I guess never hit the brakes pulling in the driveway. Was parked far up the driveway and thankfully the garage door was open or there'd be even more damage

Dog ran into the woods barking. I went after barefoot with only a flashlight. My dumb ass left my holster/gun on the patio table. Watched her get sprayed by a skunk. Twice.

Washed her down outside, but she's sleeping in the garage tonight. Another couple baths tomorrow too probably.

I was downwind and caught some too. Showered and changed still feel like I stink.

Yeah, when I had a dog (RIP Madison) he got skunked at least three times in his life and didn't learn is lesson.

No matter what they say or advertise, nothing truly de-skunks the smell. Tomato juice, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, seltzer water, those enzyme shampoos... I never found one that really worked.

On a non skunky story... one night I let my dog out for pee and poop before shutting down for the night. We didn't have a fence or typically wouldn't put him on a leash. He knew his yard and stayed in it.

Anyway, he beelines to the treeline (frank... hope its just a squirrel and not a skunk). He was sniffing around the base of a tree then staring up into the tree. I called, he didn't pay attention... looked at me, looked up into the tree... looked at me... looked into the tree.

So walk down to the get him.. I look up into the tree. Maybe 20 ft up I see two glowing eyes staring back at us... A chill went down my spine. He treed a large fisher cat.

Franking A! Grab him by the collar and scoot him back to the deck. Dude... don't ever do that again... that thing can frank you up.

Mornin' dudes.

Thankfully Tank has not franked with a skunk yet. Never seen one. Only real holy crap moment we've had is the coyote.

When I was a kid we had a beagle/terrier mix who thought he was a mongoose. We lived outside of town so dogs ran free even though they pretty much had their specific territory. He killed two rattle snakes and we had to pull him away from fighting others. Once they were dead he would pick it up and parade around the yard.

Good Sunday Morning! Enjoying a false fall, it's 82° on the way to 89° today.

A little slow this morning, after the shooting match yesterday we went to celebrate the birthday of a grandson's MIL. This granddaughter is an RN as is her Mother. Her Mother is from the Philippines and the party was at their house with food to die for and endless laughter as her cousins, sisters and friends arrived. We had a great time, as always, in their house.

Found some barstools we liked on Amazon, for the breakfast bar... $142 each. Wife found 4 of the exact same stools on FB marketplace for $150 for all 4 of them.

Gently used... in very good shape. Guess what I just bought?

Back down in the valley cleaning up from a big storm Friday. Looks like the neighborhood took a direct hit. The pool is a mess with palm and pine needles. About 3" of rain in a short time. The nearest pine tree is about 3 houses down so must have been some wind also.

Got kicked out of the mountain house since it's the wifey's annual soirée with four of her workout girlfriends. They come up and go into town for lunch/shopping and end up at our place drinking wine all night. Next morning the wife makes them all go hiking hungover or not.

Looks like pizza and beer type of day for me.

Is anyone else browsing on an Android phone and in "mobile" mode? Wondering if you can highlight and copy text here on the forums. I can't, have to switch to desktop mode. Just wondering if it's just me.

I use an Android phone and the forums in mobile mode doesn't allow for cut and paste as far as I know.
