Now, my Brother, you are talking. Put an OE egg or 2 on top those and maybe even a shortstack on the side. Oh yeah

Lived with my pop for a year or so back in the early 80's. 82-ish. He had 2 waffle houses and we'd eat breakfast there before the bus came to get us for school. Went to Shiloh Hills Christian School that year. Funny thing is... our house was walking distance from the school on Hawkins Store Rd... and the bus picked us up at the restaurant. lol

My wife would support that. She prefers that wussy toast over waffles or pancakes.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, eggs, and bread with a little powdered sugar on top and real Canadian maple syrup on the side. Throw in a couple of pieces of bacon and what’s not to like?!

That's a shame about Le HockeyDad. We always knew he had the symptoms. I guess he caught the full blown ghey. RIP non-ghey HockeyDad.

French toast is a nice change of pace. We usually use sweetbread slices…winnah, winnah, chicken dinnah! Drool

Pretty much my recipe but I didn't think of using brown sugar (I use white sugar because I'm racist, but brown sugar would prolly be better than white... now that I'm thinking about it maybe molasses as the sweetener).

I add some milk along with the eggs and whip it all together together, sop the bread and onto the skillet. Definitely use real maple syrup, not that fake stuff. Local farmers markets sell MA or NH syrup but usually it just seasonal. Most of the real syrup out here on the shelves of grocery stores come from Vermont.

Just gonna leave that there... in case you decide to promote pancakes and denigrate waffles. We know you like 'em... it's okay, they're better than pancakes.

Waffle House in J-ville outnumbers Ihop by a damn large margin. BigGrin It's like... I left socialism... found freedom... and waffles... lots of waffles.

(Sigh) trademark Bloody Spaniard….

Certainly I prefer waffles. However (comma) if she wants to put breakfast on and prefers to make waffles after putting in 40+ hours. Ize like… Rock on wit yo bad sef!

I like waffles too, but there's a diner in Big Bear that makes great pancakes...there's room for both and French Toast, on the breakfast or lunch menu...doubt if I'd like either of them for four or more consecutive breakfasts...variety is the spice of life...

Wouldn't a French Toast House actually be a French Toast Chateau? Think

We have a local breakfast and lunch diner with two locations, they make great waffles and their pancakes are not too bad, but I almost always get their Rubin sandwich for breakfast. They make a good one, not huge like some deli sandwich, just hot and delicious served with home fries. Great corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread.

My yard work pants of ten years finally put their last knee in the dirt. I shed a little tear knowing all the projects those pants were with me for, including a full demo/remodel of my back yard, painting the nursery before my first was born...

I thought I would get fancy, so I broke down and replaced them with a pair of Duluth Trading Co. Work pants. I am not one to generally get excited about pants, but these things are pretty awesome. Hopefully they last me another decade. Hell, hopefully I last another decade.

Morning, peoples. So when we planned our weekend trip, I was told to plan for a long weekend. As a result, I took Friday and today off. Then I was told three days is a long weekend and the wife didn't take today off. Well, I don't wanna look indecisive to management, so I s'pose I'm stuck with a one day smokecation. Woe is me

Mornin' dudes.

Not a lot on today's agenda. Coffee done. Walk the dog in a bit. Meet with painter this afternoon.

Continue the waiting game... *sigh*

Waiting sucks. Are we there yet?

I could sure go for some 61 and breezy about now. 87/102 out for the usual 5 miler and a little tree trimming later.

True, true.

There is some unsettling foreshadowing of things to come with a daytime high of 72.

Walked the puppy dog. A bit over an hour. I think we covered 26 blocks or something. Ran around in a park... not a dog park but there was some guys playing frisbee golf. He was about to chase after one of their discs and he actually listened when I told him to come back. Whew!

Oh boy, we at least HD has a chance for a plane to get him to Clevland. OTOH, not sure I'd want to go to Clevland though.

Good Monday Morning! It's 79° on the way to 90° today.

It seems custom made for the, but alas, there have been scant entries that qualify... Then again, if reading were CBidder's strong suit, they would have seen the other customer service threads...

Don’t think your posts are “terrible”. Just not compelling. A story has three parts,. A beginning, a middle and an end.
You need a protagonist and an antagonist.
What does the lead character want? What is standing in their was.
What has to happen verses what can’t happen. The friction and grind makes the magic happen.

Paging Scotthar. Paging Scotthar.

Be nice to egregory. He's got Valspar connections

So, say I've got 2/3 of a downstairs to paint. Could you hook a brother up?

Todays shpo gig moment of the day….

A bigger dude, driving a small, four door sedan (maybe an older Nissan Sentra).
While driving 70+ mph he was eating cheese fries …. While shirtless.

Not as wild as the breastfeeding driver last week, but…
