Contrary to popular opinion dogs do quite well at walking themselves but they do go to different places.

Starting out to be a toasty day of 78/97. Gonna prolly get in the pool.

Back home safe and reasonably sound. Tried to be an Excellent Boy and failed. Ordered the one, single shot whiskey and water. Got the Back in His Hometown Bar pour. I’ll admit it; was moderately intimidated by the drink knowing the potential ramifications of the consumption.

Guess this is what they mean when people talk about being at The Crossroads.

Sitting at the airport. Flight to Orlando cancelled due to weather. No more flights today. Now rebooked to Tampa. I wonder if the checked bags will transfer correctly.

Speaking of flights, going to be flying back to Sconnie in the next week. When I booked the flights, I totally screwed up. Was trying to find the best rates and times so I didn't have to deal with Boston traffic to and from Logan airport. It was late at night and just wanted to get it locked in and done.

Flight out of Boston to Chicago with a 1 hr layover then to Green Bay. Arrive in GB around lunch time. Perfect.

Flight out of GB to Chicago then Chicago to Boston. While picking the flights, I clicked a connecting flight from Chicago to Boston that would get me into Boston mid day (avoid commuter traffic). I didn't look closely enough (just wanted to get it done). After they sent my itinerary I realized that the flight I picked leaves GB at like 6 AM and have I have 5 hr layover in Chicago to get back to Boston. Thought I picked one that left GB around 10 AM with an hour layover in Chicago not a 5 hr layover.

Ugh, WTF am I gonna do in O'Hare for 5 hrs?

Orlando's chance of rain today by the hour maxes at 20% chance of rain in the late afternoona, which you know is a typical day with summer here or comming on. Where is the weather problem? On your end? Hope it works out smoothly!

We got a hotel on the beach in Cocoa Beach if I can get there.

The flight we are on is 3.5 hours delayed but at least it is not cancelled.

How long will you be there?
It's like just 45 minutes away.
We could enjoy a good cigar on the beach over 1-1,5 hours any time, perhaps even onshort notice...

That sucks.
You could have spent the day at home.

Held up like 8 hours in Aruba once with wife and two kids. No A/C in airport.
Wife, kids and I just bought a day-pass to one of the airline clubs. A/C, showers, leather chairs and recliners to sleep in, drinks, TV and food cooked to order from a menue (like at a hotel poolside).

Another time, our connecting flight home in San Juan was delayed for like 20 hours due to safety issues and got rescheduled for late the next day. Airline reimbursed us for staying overnight at an expensive hotel in Old San Juan as well as our meals.

You must have a membership somewhere with all the ttravel you do?

It’s a contact point with my son. He is a moderately interested fan of the Bucks. Later 70s/early 80s I was all about the Sixers. Doctor J, Caldwell (not Mister) Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks, etc. Iverson killed the sport for me.

Don’t pay any attention to the regular season, and little to the first round. When it gets down to eight, I enjoy it, knowing seven teams with at least one loathesome player will have his ego trimmed.

Soft spot for the Sixers remains.

Love the Sawks, not the Celts. The mid to late 80s was the worst. Celtics Lakers, seemingly every year.
Choice #1: Cheer for the team that kills the Sixers?
Choice #2: The flash, shine and emptiness, epitome of shallow LA culture.

We left our house 12 hours ago. Made it only 40 miles today. In a hotel now next to the airport. We should have walked and counted steps.

We fly to Miami tomorrow morning, drive to Orlando, and fly home Tuesday night.

Why a drive to Orlando now instead of to the beach as previously planned?

Embassy Suites at the airport. If we get there!

Day 2 begins now. Flight to Miami is on time. In theory our bags will be on it. I’m not that confident with United Airlines with that one.

On to Monday folks. Getting near 100 today so out early for 5er and meeting the brothers at 8am for bagels/coffee.

Gonna need a repair on the Vette. Took it out for a Sunday morning romp and came limping home smelling anti-freeze. Stuck a pan under the main rapid drip. Can't quite see where it's coming from but it drained the radiator within 15 minutes. Gonna need to get it on a lift so AAA ride to the shpo.

Boat has an engine problem. If it's just rings, we'll probably go. If it's a head, they'll be docked for 3 weeks. d'oh!
