My wife and I have done the retirement closet clear drill several times in the 10 years we've been workless...mostly dressy work clothes... if the item looks decent without stains, we donate it to Salvation Army...otherwise it's tossed. We'll prolly do the drill a time or two more to rid ourselves of casual clothes that were suitable for work which we haven't worn in a bit...I'm usually in shorts n Tees when it's warm-hot...and sweat pants and long sleeve Tees when it's cool/cold

Morning dudes and HHD. Up way too damn early but just couldn't sleep so doing some gift shopping for the wife. When did the cost to see the Eagles/Steely Dan concert get up to $500 for two!?

Gotta wait about 2 hours to even start the 5 miler in the dark. Going to be a real nice 50 going up to 80 today with a cool down into the 60s coming for the weekend.

Morning, peoples. Concert prices have been on a hellish trajectory the past ten yrs or so. Anyone well known is basically a luxury priced outing anymore

Pretty tired today. We've got a 20yd rolloff box about 3/4 full at this point. So much crap stashed over 14yrs

Morning walk was sub 50 degrees... even with the sun up. Still only 54, but it beats the hell outa 95 and humid.

Walked a little ways with Tank off leash and aside from a bout of the "zoomies" he stayed right with us and came when called. Still can't trust him totally. If he sees another dog or people he'll run right over to say hello... and his look scares the sheit out of some people. lol

He's such a good dog. I was blessed to be volunteering the day he arrived at the shelter. I saw him before they opened the doors to the public and was able to put the first hold on him. December 5, 2020... that little bugger joined the family.

He is very friendly, will walk up to anyone and say hello, person or dog alike... but he reads body language very well. Some dogs he totally ignores, same with some people... wrong vibe.

If he meets you he be like... "You mah dad's fren? I'ma lay on ya feet den!"

It's 36 degrees outside! The dog walk is going to be cold... and likely shorter. BRRRRRRRRR!

It's colder than a witches tits... wearing a brass bra... face down in a snow drift.

Morning folks. Gots to get the car emissions tested today before renewing registration. Gonna be a nice 54 going to 74 so I'm thinking I will sit on the patio with a fine habanos and make a few emissions myself.

Minnie Pearl... how can you confuse that? Her staple was to have the price tag on her hats. I grew up and watched many episodes of He Haw when I was young (not by choice, Dad liked it).

As I got older, reminisced and watching some videos, Roy Clark was an amazing musician on the banjo, guitar, and fiddle.

I think there were only five Dec. 7th survivors at today's services. Obviously their numbers are dwindling and in a year or two, there might not be any that will be able to make the trip back.

45 feels awfully warm this morning.

Helluva night at work last night.

Heard back about the new job. I got a week to think it over but it's looking like a no. She says you won't have to take a patient load except when there's staffing shortages on tele units, icus, and the er. Well we float someone damn near every day as it is and we're still short every day. So between that and the no control over your schedule stuff, that's a hard sell when your requirements are an icu charge nurse with at least 5 years experience. The only perk to staying in a position for that long is scheduling and reduced float frequency.

As Brother Frank says, a deal is only as good as its downside.
Too much downside for you.
Btw, is staffing (patients to nurse ratio) one of the biggest pain points in being a nurse?
