Whomever decided to bump up those old threads…. I salute you.

The pre-2009 crop of talent, humor and almost nobody taking themselves seriously certainly make me want to go back there.

I haven't read through them. Hopefully there is no incriminating evidence in my name on those.

On a lighter note, had a visit the ear, nose and throat doctor today (a CAT scan or MRI from my bike accident this past summer saw something about my lymph nodes).

She gave me the feel of the neck to try to feel any swelling but it was OK.

She: "I'd like to get a visual on them too. Do you give me permission?"
Me: "Umm I guess" as my eyes scan the room and my brain thinking what do you mean by a visual (not spoken out loud).
She: I would like to insert this this fiber optic camera/video into your nose and thread it down into your throat. Do I have your permission? Then I will explain what we see. You can watch it if you want.
Me: Umm... I guess....? But I don't want to watch.

She did that and didn't find anything to worry about. I guess my lymph nodes are OK but smaller than textbook. While the video camera was in there, my vocal cords work just fine, my tonsils are fine, no throat cancer or stuff.

I've never had anything inserted in my nose and go down into my throat. According to her, I have a gag reflex (ummm.... yeah you are sticking something up my nose and down into my throat). Also, according to her, I have slightly crooked nose and partial deviated septum. Did you ever break your nose? Me: "Only once that I remember."

It wasn't painful but it was uncomfortable. Kinda like going to the dentist - This will not hurt but may be uncomfortable.

To answer an anticipated question... She is attractive but I didn't see her boobs, Drafter. With a camera stuffed up my nose and down my throat, boobs were not on the high priority list.

Maybe I should schedule a follow up.

Let us know about the boobage next time.

You let us down.

Glad your nose is mostly ok. I haven't felt air move through my left nostril since August 24 2004.

HR called me today while I was in the checkout lane getting tamale supplies. Didn't recognize the number so I just ignored it. Voicemail said they were calling me about that job I built 3 years ago and has been shelved and then greenlit then modified and shelved then modified and greenlit again. I called back within 5 minutes of the phone call and left a message. Never got another call back. I'll call them tomorrow.

Bloody, Erkwgs, Andytv, MACS. There were others on occasion. Would like to have an audio of just one of those evenings.

More work around the house for the next few days. Replace old grout in just a few tiny places. A/C/Heat was here this morning for maintenance. Got a quote on cleaning a/c ducts and scheduled it. Getting a quote on some quarter moulding. Then, off to the stone/rock yard to buy aquarium stones and arrange for delivery of 100 bags of mulch. Got neighborhood kid to do all the heavy work. Then the only thing we are waiting for are the new bath/bedroom blinds and for my aquarium set-up to be delivered. Almost done!!!

Hope your face heals up fast. I just went yesterday for my regular check (had cancerous growth removed from my neck two years ago).

I feel like people in AZ don't actually die, they just get chipped away at by their dermatologist until there is nothing left.

Sunny and 50 out thought I'd smoke a brisket. Maybe make some tamales from the shredded point.

Nobody has briskets. Checked meijers yesterday and 3 grocery stores this morning. No packers but one store had choice flats for $9/lb fvck that. Maybe if they were prime. I do have a $50 gift card to a meat store but they're ridiculously expensive. Maybe I'll head up there.

Got an interview scheduled for the job I built 3 years ago. Well see how much they changed it from my original plan. Unfortunately it's scheduled with someone I would rather not deal with and if she's gonna be the person I answer to in the job, it's probably a no go.

Ugh………I’m tired already…
Had to help my son move his “project” truck to a different spot in his backyard.
It’s a ‘66 International, long bed, V8, 4 WD, with big fuqin tires, it’s a gaddam tank, doesn’t run and has a bunch of chit in the bed, with a light steady rain falling.
No way to get another vehicle in to help pull or push, grass is wet from rain, yard isn’t exactly flat, blah, blah…..
To say this was a fool’s errand is an understatement.

We finally caved in and had to call my wife (his mommy) to help.
She is stronger than most men………probably 70% of men, at least…….and we needed every bit of her muscle.

We just got it moved into position before a heavy downpour started…….…(we have a week of heavy rain in our forecast.)
Had we started 15 minutes later, there would have been no way to move it.
Sometimes ya gets lucky….
Now I’m kinda beat and want some eggs, coffee, and a cigar…

Woke up this morning to learn some dude got into a fight at the hospital ER just a few blocks away. Assaulted a ER worker and a citizen. An ambulance from one of the towns next door was dropping off a patient and the ER guys broke up the fight and escorted the assailant out side. Then he hopped into the ambulance and drove off.

A slow speed joy ride was underway around town and some neighboring towns followed by about 8 or 10 police cruisers from my town, neighboring towns, and some state police. The videos that people took, it looks like a parade (the dude that stole the ambulance even used his blinkers when making turns... so he has that going for him). The accused assailant crashed into a couple parked cars on his run and ended up driving back to the hospital to deposit the ambulance in the hospital's parking lot by crashing it into a light pole.

The accused was taken into custody at the hospital after the simulated OJ Simpson chase. He's not in jail, he's being evaluated at a mental hospital. Good news is that there are no serious injuries.

I live a few blocks away from the hospital. I didn't even hear anything. It's a quiet residential neighborhood so they don't blow the sirens but I did hear a helicopter around 10 PM or so. I just thought it might be a medical helicopter picking up a patient to take them to a larger hospital for a serious life or death issue. Apparently it was a police helicopter that joined the chase to follow and light up the ambulance from the air.

There is very little excitement in my little town and I missed the beginning and the end just a few blocks away. Had I known, I could of hopped on my e-bike and joined the chase. (Who am I kidding? It's too cold out and it was dark out).

Cigar and Family Guy on the garage TV but the patio heater in my garage ran out of propane so only got one episode in. Short Story was a good choice.

Sounds like a party Bucky

I'm just glad that there were no serious injuries. I find it rather comical watching the news and it was like watching a scene from the Blues Brothers movie but without the music.

most those guys have mental issues...the possibility of severe consequences discourage most people, except those with mental issues...

I remember one where the driver was a woman...a couple of high speed parts, 15 minute chase...she had on a red low cut sweater with some cleavage...looked like she was reading some paperwork during other parts...parade of 6 black and whites following her and several more hanging back...copter in the air...told my wife that the cops are not gonna prone her out on the pavement and treat her like a dirtbag like they do with male drivers...sho nuff, easy escort out of car and cuffs in front...smh

December 1 is always a happy day for me.
- It is my bruddah’s birthday.
-November is the month I like the least.

Add to that some significant struggles over the last 7-10 days, yesterday felt good. Today is going to be better.

We are on the ascendency.

82F/68F today. Beautiful fall day! Swam laps this morning, Hit Home Depot and the bank, and got home just in time for the carpenter to reinstall quarter-round moulding around the house. Only one step left to handle: quotes on painting the interior. Duct cleaning and brick paver repair is already scheduled. Almost there. Herfing
