Once again, you pull the typical liberal ploy of sprinkling in just enough truth to make your lie seem plausible. Christ was NOT against organized religion. He preached in the Temple. He called it "His Father's House". He overturned the tables because the Priests had allowed the Court of the Gentiles, the place where non-Jews could come to worship God, to be transformed into a market. Merchants where selling "certified" sacrifices at high prices and giving a kickback to the Priests. This is what upset Him so much. Not the Temple, or the system of worship, but the corruption and greed. It wasn’t religion that Christ preached against, but the "self-righteous", those who thought they could earn their way to heaven under their own merit, without repentance, and without putting their faith in Him.
I'm not a defender of the Catholic faith. I disagree totally with the teachings of the Roman Church. But your attacks are way off base. BTW, since atheists usually love to blame the horrible crimes committed in history by evil men under the "name of Christ" on true Christians and on God Himself, shouldn't atheists take responsibility for the millions slaughtered under evil men who believed like them?
