I don't take a moral stance. I just feel I need to point out that people who are usually saying we should do something for a moral good reason... usually are wrong. (and I mean this on both sides of the aisle).
And abrignac is correct. Your numbers regarding the increased revenue multiplying throughout the transactions of the community is really only a measurement used when money coming into an area is increased (through funding of a business). When the cost of labor is simply increased across the board, there is no multiplier effect, as COGS will increase in proportion to the wage increase.
