Any particular album you’d recommend?
currently listening to a 4-cd box set I picked up at the library. Let me look into it a bit...
But Richard has had a loooong career, plays all sorts of stringed things, sort of the guitar players' guitar player. never made an album with $$$ in mind. But when I listen to some of his stuff, there is a dark, sinister feel to it. Not all, but there are a few bloody themes here and there (Did She Jump or Was She Pushed is one such song).
He's gone from folky/folk rock to hard rock to acoustic and all around every one of those genres...yet still an acquired taste when it comes to sales/success/public acceptance.
many considered his Shoot Out the Lights era his best. He does sometimes coax some different types of breaks and licks than the typical guitar slinger.
