And I'm trying to essentially do the same thing (just bottled a batch last week, have a batch I'm drinking, and starting fermentation on hopefully two batches this weekend)....

It's more out of curiosity, an interest in seeing whether I can make something I really like....
I used to make some damn good beer.
Developed my own recipes n stuff, brewed with some dudes at a nanobrewery a couple times.
Grew my own hops, grew my own yeast, crushed my own grain, I was all-in. Even built an automated controller and some pumps to build an indoor electric brewery in my basement. But then I just lost interest. Dunno what happened, I just quit brewing.
I miss it sometimes, but I don't think ill do it again. Its a lot of work. I brewed at least 3x/mo. Thats a lot of washing dishes...
I'll let other guys do it and just buy their beer. Same price, more variety, and no washing dishes.
