That's for the next 500. I'm still running with the A/C. Riveting still...

Pshh... when you talk about the interior of your home, you are talking about removing heat.
When you talk about the AC system as a whole, you may have an exothermic system.

It simply depends on the boundaries defined in the sentence.

It's always on during the summer 24/7. We got a variable speed 24+ or - SEER unit because of Florida's heat and humidity. You guys never discused the change in humidity that is related to system cooling. I am disapointed.
355. Author: DrafterXDate: Tue, 6/2/2020, 5:09PM EST
Removing humidity is an effect of the air moving across the air handler coils... in the winter you can add a humidifier to the air handler to add humidity if needed... Mellow

The unit does that on its own when we set it for it's winter temps and it has a seperate humidity setting?
What is your a/c background?

Do you have a heat pump or standard condenser/ furnace..?? Huh

As far as my background I've worked repair and new installation of residential and commercial systems... including chillers and cooling towers in theaters, malls and hospitals.. Mellow

It's not a function of air moving across air handling coils, it's a function of reducing the temperature of the air. Cooler air cannot hold as much moisture as warmer air (lower dew point). So by cooling the air you remove some of the moisture present in the air.

The psychrometric chart shows you how many grains of water air can hold at a variety of temperatures.

Agree.... a standard heating/cooling system wouldn't be able to control for humidity that efficiently. (Outside of drastically cooling incoming air to dry it, and then adding heat and water to the desired temp/RH)
Do they make house-sized dehumidifiers? I've only worked with units the size of a truck

It's all controlled by a computer in the thermostat screen. From what I understnd, a/c units in different parts of the country have different configurations to that local...

I have to say these guys are good. Brought in a large hepa filter to keep any dust down. Just doing cabinets as the counters are already all quartz. Looks like two more days to finish up but looking very good so far.

In Detroit, beanless chili on a hot dog is called a "coney island." People eat them with chopped onion and/or ground beef a.k.a "loose". I've eaten many hundreds over my life.

So....
We picked up a dog to foster last night. Some nut had 16 dogs and eventually lost their apartment (or house?) and "gave" them to the landlord. So of course all of them ended up in the local shelter.

We're fostering one while they try to find homes for them. It appears to be a Jack Russel Terrier.... or something similar. Very high energy. And apparently used to have the run of wherever it lived before, because we spent all night last night telling it "no" every time it jumped on the couch or bed. I'm f-king exhausted.

I think it'll settle down and learn, but damn. I forgot how much I hated having to always keep one ear open because I don't know what the damn dog is doing while I sleep.

Our current dog, Freddie, is pretty miffed. She's an older lower energy dog and is not thrilled at all about this. And of course they named the foster "Eddie" so with the similarities she basically pays attention to whatever I tell Eddie to do... but because Eddie hasn't figured out his f-cking name yet, he's completely oblivious.

Maybe the local Chinese restaurant owner will adopt him?

Well on the bright side - knowing your dislike for healthy dogs - I'm sure both will be dead within the week...

Gun shop round the corner got windows smashed, nothing taken. Gas station, smoke shop and liquor stores got smash n grabbed.

Theres no organized protests here, just groups of about 10 people smashing windows and robbing stores. So far the arrests made in my town have been Chicago residents. Out of town, outta state.

Wife wants to go to the beach with the dogs. Entrance ramps to the highways are barricaded.
