Ugh……..raining…..and will be for 8+ days.
Luckily I cleaned my gutters Thursday……which I had been putting off for a few months……cause I’ve been gimped up pretty good with
a left wrist and a right shoulder (both getting better VERY slowly).
Rainy season was coming and I couldn’t delay any longer, and Thursday’s work set back my shoulder injury another two weeks for sure.

I’ve had tons of injuries like many of us have, but this particular combination I’ve never had, and it SUQS.

I did the Leaf Filter things earlier this year... hopefully my gutter cleaning days are over... 😟

Good Sunday Morning to All! It's another beautiful blue sky day, 67°on the way to 70° today.

We had a great time yesterday at the Georgia State ARA Tournament. Mrs. Gene came in fourth, I didn't place, but won the highest score for one target round. Not bad sitting next to the national champion shooter. He is 82 and one heck of a shot. He had driven to Georgia from Texas to get some lot testing on his rifle and was able to make our shoot. A super nice fellow and willing to share his "secrets" with other shooters. We met him at the National shoot in Missouri and recognized his red pickup with a Texas plate when we got to the range, I turned to wife and said, shooting sessions will be delivered today. =d>

I hope so. I droped the kids off at school today.

Gonna be really awkward this afternoon at pickup time if they are sitting there on the sidewalk all alone looking really bored.

walked my daughter's 40 lb half pit/half bulldog...35 minute walk and my legs and shoulders are sore as a mofo...strong little dog that forced me to nearly double time to keep up...

Years ago we had a Great Dane and a rottweiler/Lab/coyote both very largs dogs. They ran pretty wild at our mountain home, but in town or at the vet, they had to be well behaved. In a book about Great Danes I heard the following steps to least train our dogs.

Leash training is pretty easy, a choker chain collar around the head so it bears the skull, not the neck, hold the leash above the head with minimum slack. Start walking, when the dog goes left, you make it go right, whnch the dog goes right, you make it go left. It doesn't take but a little upward jerk to get their attention, pretty soon the dog will follow you, not lead.

It's not mean and it works.
