#22...I just watched the clip you posted...that was really raw. Hard to catch good audio with a cellphone camera.

If you get a chance pick up "Collideoscope" its on there and their version of "Tomorrow Never Knows" rocks out too.

I agree with you on Leon Russell, as he is the very best in person performer I have ever seen, and I have seen so damn many I cannot remember them all.

Leon deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I have signed several petitions on his behalf only to see crap artist and Country singers go in and leave Leon on the outside. He is an important rock and roll/blues artist who has been touring since he was 15 years old......

I loved Johnny Cash, but he is an example of someone in the Rock and Roll Hall who should not be in there while Leon is left out.........

Time to get off my soapbox.

MACS:

"Pat Benatar and John Mellencamp both did 'I need a lover' and I like them both. Not sure who did it first."

That was Mellencamp's song. He was a songwriter before he became John Cougar. I liked both too, but I think the one Mellencamp put out was a little bit better.

When John Cougar turned into John Mellencamp, his stuff ended up sucking eggs.

#40, 43 Wish I'd known you guys back when I had my office over a bar. Leon used to play there once in a while. I'd have gotten you in free, we coulda smoked upstairs in between acts, etc.

#44 I'm pretty sure David Lee Roth covering Hendrix is not only a sign of the Appocalypse, but is against the Geneva Convention. He should also be sent to Gitmo and waterboarded for that.

BTW, I forgot the best cover artist. Richard Cheese. Best is Baby Got Back, but he does some great stuff with other songs, too.

Not the best cover ever, but I was very impressed.
