Ok--here's my reason for not likeing the user name:

I had so many people in my family murdered in cold blood, in the camps in Poland and in the marches through Germany, that it amazes me to think of the family that I don't have....

It's not that the name 'Hitler' itself should never be used, it is only that when it is used in a casual context as a joke such as that, it almost lessons the impact and the value of those who died at his hands. Everytime Hitler becomes another cultural joke rather than the reality he was, a little bit of the meaning in the name disapears, and with that a little bit of the cultural memory of my family who I never met disapears, too.

I guess what I'm saying is this: every day my Grandfather told me to always remember, to never forget, and I feel like by using the name "Hitler" in that context, we are forgeting just a little....not a lot, but a little, for a joke that is essentially meaningless.

There's something very casual about this naming your car, and choosing a screen name like this that bothers me.
For those who think otherwise, or "no big Deal"....it can be a real slippery slope when you DON'T get offended....
