With respect to the decimation by disease and combat, I can only point to the evidence of civilizations in the west and in central and south America where the structures remain but all evidence of the population has vanished. As far as medicines coming from roots and berries...so what. I guess if you are relegated to chewing on birch bark, you will either die or discover a medicinal use for it. My point is that if racial groups were mistreated in the history of the US, it is ludicrous to mention it in the same breath as the holocaust.
