Loving the David Lee Roth-esque delivery. The band is on fire too!

Somewhere stuck between Journey, Savatage, Triumph and Japan...Mystery. The biggest mystery is why they couldn't attain superstardom.

Chose the Midnight Special version...because when they were starting out...they were ferocious with their playing.

Los Lobos - a 3-CD set of, mostly, cover songs done in concert.

I probably spent a couple years going through the shows I had, selecting the songs and then putting the discs together. Unfortunately my old iMac carped out before I could do the artwork so not sure where all the songs came from. Still a fun listen.

Curtis Mayfield - Keep On Keepin' On (1972-1974 bootleg)

IMHO, one of the finest singers and songwriters ever. So sad about the tragic accident that left him paralyzed.

While playing Cigar Tetris, a playlist of mostly l-o-n-g album cuts:

Walk On By (12:03)
By the Time I Get to Phoenix (18:41)
Do Your Thing (19:31)
(They Long to Be) Close to You (9:05)
Going in Circles (7:02)

The shorter songs:

Theme from "Shaft" (4:40)
Cafe Regio's (6:00)
Never Can Say Goodbye (5:10)

The brother could groove. 🌫

Would've like the guitars to be up in the mix and the phaser effect down but I get it...it was all the rage at the time.

Free - a comp disc of my favorites from 1969 to 1973.

Most people only know them for “All Right Now” but they were so much more than that. In addition, Paul Kossoff was such an underappreciated guitarist.

Shame about Free, but it did open the doors wide for Bad Company.

One of the many songs by this band I'd counter to friends that wondered why I didn't get or like Springsteen. You have no idea how many of my friends added them to their collections because I turned them on to them. Live...they bring it too. They don't need to play 4 hour shows to deliver.

Saw the AMAZING Aristocrats last night. IYKYK. If you don't...start g00gling Guthrie Govan. The entire band is great though. You know you're a stellar drummer when Alex Lifeson is asking for you and when Steve Vai want to jam he asks Bryan to sit in on bass.

With the passing of Bech and EVH...Guthrie could be the greatest or at lest a solid Top 5 pick living today.
