George Zimmerman has emerged from hiding for the first time since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin. However, this was a little unexpected…

Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman “pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over” at the intersection of a Florida highway last week.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where he shot Martin.

It’s the first known sighting of Zimmerman since he left the courtroom following his acquittal last week on murder charges for the death of Martin. Zimmerman, 29, shot and killed Martin, 17, in Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26, 2012. The jury determined that Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense.

While this may be some good publicity for Zimmerman, he better buckle up: according to his father, “[Zimmerman has] had an enormous amount of death threats. George’s legal counsel has had death threats, the police chief of Sanford, many people had had death threats.”

SHARE this good deed by Zimmerman, because you know the mainstream media won’t!

I wonder if the US Justice Dept will file charges for illegally stopping his vehicle on the side of I-4.

If they did report this incident in a positive way, you can bet Zimmerman will all of a sudden be reported as a Hispanic rather than a white guy.

I heard he was malato, but ashamed of it, and used the Latino thing to cover it up.

No, no, thank YOU. I wanted to contribute badly but decided to bite down hard on my tongue instead. Now I sound like a cross between Charlie Callas & Buddy Hackett.

This story is all over the local news Some will cheer in glee; some will be totally befuddled. Talk about a curve ball...

This happened 5 days ago, and it took this long for it to be mentioned in the news? All weekend we heard about the "Justice for Martin" protests, but not a word of this. Anyone who thinks the MSM doesn't have an agenda is a blind fool.

MSN had this on their home page for a few hours, and have since buried it. I was reading some of the comments. Some claimed that the Sanford Police Department staged the whole thing to make Zimmerman look good. Others claimed that Zimmerman had hired a public relations firm to pull this off. Some others said that since the SUV wasn't on fire, his act of helping to pull the family from the overturned SUV wasn't a heroic or even noble act. Of course there where some who just screamed that he was a murderer of an unarmed child, and it didn't matter what he does now. He could personally save the President's life, and there will still be some who will continue to burn with hatred, and call for his death.

The local reason given is that he was not listed on the crash report, which is not locally made public by rule/law for a minimum of (5) days after a crash. Having virtually solely represented those injured in local crashes for over 20 years, I will attest to this.

Confirmation was being sought from the officer who came to the scene and recognized him; from another rescuer; and those in the vehicle. Subtract today and two days for this past weekend. Then, factor in how easy (NOT!) it is to get a local cop on the phone to confirm anything about a crash. I will attest to this too, having tried/done so dozens and dozens of times.

A little positive optimism on your part instead of dower prediction might by worth it for a couple days. See his brother on TV?

Assuming this is 100% true, will it make any difference?
Is it even really relevant to what happened between him and Treyvon that night?

Devil's Advocate: Charles Manson escapes from jail and several days later rescues some people whose vehicle rolls over in a crash. Is it relevant to the history of those he and his minion killed and tried to kill? Shall we excuse him?

^ I didn't go out of my way to study anything extra about his trial but I think it shows a side of him that wasn't talked about.
I don't believe he got out of his car that night with any intent other than to see where TM was going. Somehow he got into a fight and I'd have to agree, that if i started seeing stars and don't take some drastic steps they may be the last thing I see. At that point it's me or him and it won't be me and yes panic would be my motivation.
Ill bet any of you would do the same, regardless of race creed sex, survival kicks in.
Only in hindsight can we presume he over-reacted, we were not there and according to Florida state law he, in the end, took action to save himself.
Sorry TM, sorry to his family, wish it never happened to any of them.
