This has got to be the biggest load of crap I've heard.
Many people can't have 2 beers and drive. It's been proven over and over that the smallest amount of alcohol impairs driving. You shouldn't be drinking and driving even if you only have 2 beers. Two wrongs doesn't make the one right. There are tests being developed to accurately measure the amount of THC in your system, like a breathalizer or hair-sample test.
But you are right about MMJ and alcohol being different. Alcohol is far more dangerous, and offers absolutely no medical benefit. Alcohol could be compared to tobacco in that sense. Yet we don't understand all the benefits of MMJ because of the bigotry like yours against it. It's not a charade, and not everyone that lights up is doing it just to get stoned. But having one or two beers is done purely for the effects of alcohol. You can't preach about how wrong it is that someone smokes to get high while your sitting on a bar stool sucking down beers and shots. The truth is there are natural benefits to MMJ that offer fewer side effects than pumping man-made chemicals into your body.

Extreme hyperbole aside (biggest load of crap? Really?) you are taking this A: too personally, and B: completely out of context.
I accept that alcohol is bad. I responded to Robert because he suggested that nobody is talking about alcohol and driving, and that is simply not true. Drunk driving is bad. OK? Can I be more clear?
MY biggotry? You must be stoned now because I am IN FAVOR of medicinal mj.
I didn't mean to confuse you when I stated this repeatedly already.
As for the "charade" I stand by that statement.
Because whenever the issue of medicinal usage is brought up, we hear it from the hemp crowd. I know that doctors support your position, but the general public needs to see them rather than Jeff Spicoli wanna-bees.
And yes. I CAN enjoy a beer or two with lunch and be 100% legal to drive.
And I DO drink beer for the enjoyment of the beverage itself.
Most of my drinking involves a single beer. Zero buzz factor.
Who smokes a joint to taste the bud?
Nobody. That's who. The effect is the goal.
You'd be better served focusing your diatribe on people who are against mj usage rather than taking offense and dissecting the details with people like me who agree with the overall premise of medical mj.
