Only around 17k w/o power in Seminole County, of which I am one of the unlucky ones. Slept at my mom's condo last night.

Buddy was here from Tuesday until this morning. He texted there's a lot of damage in Bradenton... and he has no power again, but they're working on it. Most folks are likely back in town by now, as he said the traffic wasn't bad getting home.

Still no power.

I've been playing a game during shower time. Its called "What Would John Rambo Do When Surrounded By VC?". The rules are rather medieval. Take your average 5qt stock pot and fill it with water from the bath that you filled because its Florida and its Hurricane Season. Place it in shower. Take a large plastic cup and dip it into the pot of water and douse your head first without screaming or breathing hard because it will give your "position" away. Lather up with Dial Hair/Body Shampoo and rinse.

They say...TECO...That it should be restored on the 17th. This corrects their idea that it would be the 14th. Any takers on the long game?

Not complaining...just coping. Milton as horrible as it was killed 14. 3 were a car crash coming back from a Hurricane party. We got lucky and prayers were answered.

Oooooof... not having power blows. Fortunately we never lost power, but it does happen. JEA is pretty dang good about getting it back fast, but after back to back hurricanes you can understand the delay there.

Some infratructures (power poles, transformers, etc) need to be rebuilt... not just reconnected. Good news is they got all of Florida and a bunch of linemen from other states working on it.

Hope it's resolved soon, brother.

I'm taking notes for our net power outage. No power really sucks.

Eight days without power sucked, wife wants a whole house generator. We have natural gas or I wouldn't want to consider it. No power equals no gasoline/diesel/propane, though our local Circle-K stations were pretty quick to bring in large generators to power their stations.

This was our problem, trees and debris had to be cleared before broken poles and down cables could be taken care of.

There was sooo much destruction around me. The main drag 301 looks like a warzone with piles of debris. We saw a truck come down the road. They made an assessment and tagged it in. Long story short we're at the most northeastern point for TECO. Its a notorious dirty grid.

Have a generator but it only goes as far as running 3 fridges...fans...coffee machine...charging station for flashlights and phone. Its primitive but I completed 3 months of desert training courtesy of the US Army...so I got that goin for me.

Gunga gunga...
