Does anyone else see this as a racist remark? Saying that we're going to handle all of the people with "laundry on their heads" is as moronic as the statements coming from the middle east calling all Americans war mongering cowboy infidels.

I wasn't calling you a racist nor was I implying that GWB actually said this; I was saying that the originator made a racist remark. And I'm not trying to pass myself off as better than anyone else.

We just need to remember through all of these trying times the reason we have all of our glorious freedoms and what the cost has been as well as the bumps along the way. We don't need to regress to simple statements such as these to rally support or make jokes, we are the USA, we've gotten to where we are by embracing differences and fighting to protect all people that need it whether or not they wear turbans, baseball caps or berets.

I understand that humor is a coping mechanism that is quite effective for the weighty issues that we are faced with, I just prefer it not to be racist simpleton rhetoric.

I realize that casualties are an unavoidable fact of war, but we should never celebrate it! Celebrate the results of the war that will make our nation safer, celebrate the freedom we're trying to provide to the Afghani people, and celebrate our heros who serve our country my risking and giving their lives, but never celebrate death.
