Good for you IrishGrad... I enjoy the Opus X.. They are one of my "special Occasion" cigars... Then again... it seems that most of the cigars I've been buying lately have been special occasion cigars... hmmmm... I guess every time I smoke IS a sepcial occasion... hmmm...

OK, now I remember... I ONLY smoke "special occasion" cigars on days that end in "Y"... that's it...

Sorry to babble...

No bable, my statement which I will make again here is, we all have too many cigars. Some of us, WAY TOO MANY. Surely we all have some of those special occasion smokes, Opus, PAMs, ISOMs, etc... Get um out and have one!! I try to at least 1 time a week Saturday afternoon seems to work well! Smoke the normal good stuf for whenever, but don't horde the "really good stuff" enjoy it! Life is too short my friends. These are the good ol days.

My favorite humi here sells the entire Opus line and keeps it in stock! Alas, you can only purchase 2 per stick type, but, hell, I can actually go in there and come out with a dozen Opus at a time!

It doesn't hurt that the owner and a very good friend of mine worked together for years;)

It's fun to have a couple in the humi, but you can buy a box of good sticks here for the retail on a handfull of Opus at retail.

OK...Had the OPUS X..WOW what a cigar can't wait until the store calls with a shipment and I can get what I can. The padron aniversary series is a good 2nd to the Opus X but NO OPUS X. 🙂

Weeeeeeeeeeee! I'll have to have a dbl corona this weekend! I think they're GREAT cigars!! and YES I also think they're OVERPRICED cigars. But they're still GREAT! But they're still OVERPRICED! Tastes great! Less Filling!

Last I checked our local cigar bar (Fuente Dealer) had Opus X on their shelf...$20 last look. I don't know if they're out by now, but I promised myself to go by there and have one with a couple of nice single malts.

If not then I guess a Hemingway will have to suffice.

After hearing all of you rave about this cigar I went to my local shop yesterday and picked up 2 at $10 each. I sure I paid a little too much, but......

If you've never tried one, you're in for a treat!

MSRP can range anywhere from $7.50 to $14.50 (excluding the 'A'), and you will seldom find them going for 'suggested retail' prices.

rmarrandino, which one was it? The #4 and Beli xXx go for just under that at an online retailer I've used in the past. However, $10 was about the price for the #4 at my local.

Be thankful that you have local retailers that sell Opus. The closest retailer to me is > 2 hrs. There is one retailer locally that sells a lot of other Fuente cigars, but no Opus.

I have only had the pleasure of smoking one. I bought it last October and hid it in the humi until February. The cigar was OK. Extremely hard draw. Virtually unsmokable. I'd love to try another, but will have to wait until another out-of-town trip to pick one up.
