OK, the Academy Awards are to be presented this evening and for the first time, I have NO idea who's who and what's what ... I haven't seen one single movie in the past year .... only two of the nominees (as far as I know them) have held any interest at all for me but I've not been able to work up sufficient enthusiasm for attending one of the multiplex boxes where chatty fellow attendees loudly munch on popcorn from an industrial-strength-size tub and kick the back of my seat providing me with an intolerable distraction ... with a little patience, I can watch any film in which I have an interest on Netflix or pay-per-view in the near future and in the process save enough $$$ to help fund my cigar habit ...
Anyone have favorites among the nominees? ... Is there anything in which I should be taking an interest ??
