Nephew caught 23 bass doing nothing different than the rest of us.

I agree, but I dont know what it was.

We had the same hooks, same bait, same bobbers, fishing off the same 50ft pier. I put the hooks, weights, and bobbers on everybody's poles.

Didn't matter where he dropped the worm, he reeled up a fish.

I would hand him my rod to hold while I took the fish off his hook, and he'd pull up another fish before I had his baited again.

His sister said it's like this all the time. He just catches fish.

It might be the smell you leave on the bait or how fast they react to a nibble. In grade school I often fished with a buddy that almost always caught fish when I didn't. We used the same tackle and the same locations. My younger son is one that always catches fish.

I believe it's his reaction time. He is very focused and every waver of the bobber he'd twitch the pole. Most of his catches were right on the lip.

Bermuda grass in Arizona?
I didn't know it could take the heat and low humidity...

The hotter it is, the better Bermuda grows. Assuming, of course, you water it. All the golf courses out here are Bermuda 8 months out of the year, and overseed rye in the coolest weather when the Bermuda typically goes dormant.

The AZ Diamondbacks even developed a cultivar of Bermuda specifically for their field.

Depends, really. We'll go even if the swells are 3-4 feet, as long as the sets are spaced. Example of tomorrow's report:

Islas Coronado: Monday - NW winds 10-15 kt. Seas 5-7 feet in S to SW swell. Period 15 seconds. This means the swells are 15 seconds apart, which is great if they are small swells. 7 foot? Nope, nope, nope.

https://tinyurl.com/7sjp4e48  - on the right you'll see a picture of our route from SD Bay to the Islands. The wind will be blowing NW, the swells will be going S to SW. That's a recipe for a washing machine. If the swells were 1-2, 2-3, it'd be very doable. At 5-7 feet, that's a hard pass for a 22' boat.

Brain scan today. Been up all night as they want me to be awake and sleep deprived for 8 hrs prior to the test.

I wonder if they'll find anything inside that skull of mine...

:-k

I'd be really trippy if I dropped a hit of acid an hour beforehand.

Don't worry Bucky. There's purty good odds they'll find a brain in there

Morning all,

Vacationing on the lake has been very relaxing so far. We are going to check out the islands on the lake today. We had fresh caught fish tacos last night, outstanding.
