Pretty simple, either you want / like beans in your chili or you don't.

Simple answer to a simple question: with beans.

I like mine rather spicy - enough to put some sweat on my brow. With that said, I make the batch middle of the road on hotness since others that eat it aren't as tolerant to heat. I add additional hot sauce later to my servings to achieve the desired sweat factor.

I'm with Bucky on this one. Yes - beans in chili. And yes - there is no such thing as TOO spicy for me. I, like Bucky, will usually make two batches of chilli for my family - one for the 4-alarm-fire loves and one for everyone else.

Don't like kidney beans. Don't care for it to be too spicy either. And pasta in chili is a definite no.

A little melted cheddar cheese on top with a couple of tortillas is good for me.

I also challenge Mike's claim and guessing I can change his mind with 8-10 drops of Satan's Blood. (Per bowl, not pot. I'm not allowed to add flavor to the pot anymore)

I like mine HOT as well but there is a point that it stops being flavor and is just tolerance. I am likewise banned from spiking most anything that is being cooked.

Guess I'm making chili today. With beans, tyvm. And yeah, the shredded cheddah on top is nice.

It's your chili, make it the way you like, it's good either way, but one is chili and other is bean soup.

Instead of beans, try using can of hominy, it's a no gas alternative and the corn flavor complements chili nicely. Hominy can take the place of corn masa flour used in many chili recipes to add corn flavor and thicken up the chili, just run a can of hominy through a blender/food processor.

I like beans in my chili (my vote)... I like chili without beans (still chili)...

I just like chili.

Hotter the better (as long as it doesn't use extract sauce, that stuff tastes like sh*t, has a weird twang to it).

Like Mike, Bucky and DED, I like it hot af!

I don't have a tolerance level.

Another vote for beans!

Chili without beans is pasta sauce. We make ours with our own canned stewed tomatoes and salsa (for the spicy taste), chili beans, kidney beans, pinto beans and black beans. We also use our home made sausage for the meat (ground beef and pork mixed with spices) . Cheese on top when served is good and tortillas are another great addition. No two batches are ever identical but they are all good!!!

With, otherwise it's no fun later in the day having fart contests with the kids. Unless one of you jackalopes puts 8 or 10 drops of a$$-on-fire sauce in it... Then, it would be fun later on, in a "colonoscopy-fun" kind of way.
