I had an item damaged during transit. I clicked the customer service button and wrote an email. In less than an hour I had a response--with an apology--and was told that a new one would be sent. And this was on a limited edition--signed item. No questions asked--they replaced it. I had it at my house in 2 days. Now that is great customer service.

I have been involved in the customer service industry for years. They are one of the best. You just need to talk to them. This was not an issue for the open forum.

Hi Skatty

Having a bad day?
Lets try to get the facts straight - shall we?
1) I started this post after 1st contacting customer service 3 weeks after winning the lot to inquire as to when the item would be shipped
It was at that time I was informed that the item was not there - was never there - It would not be backordered - & that " sorry" was all that was being done so I posted that fact here to see If others had the same problem & to warn others of a potential problem.
Those are the facts - you may not like what happened - may not like to hear that this could happen - or - maybe this forum is strictly for family members & employees but thats what happened & I think it is worthy of this forum if this forum is for honest views that maybe different than your own but honest none the less & oh by the way I'm going to defend myself even if attacked by the nite shift & disability crowd. & as always thanks for you input.

Fact Is PMS1 you basically came onboard to flame the Customer Service here... it's plain and simple... Roger offered to you "Email Sent" you still are persistant in wanting to flame a well respected Customer Service around these parts because YOU didn't read or understand how their Policy works... YOU even went to the length of letting everyone know you don't have this trouble over on the E site... well someone posted head back on over there and don't let the screen door hit ya...

and to answer your question I've had people walk away from me leaving a full beer at the bar... or 6 of their 7 balls on the pool table So it doesn't have to be another forum to get my point across!!!!!

See YA!!!!!!!

ata boy hog

Do I detect a sense of humor? I knew it!

Believe it or not I only mentioned the forbidden "e" site to explan that I had already gone to customer service & thought that my options were at a end & that forums are for a free flow of information so thats why I came hear. Little did I know that this forum is not for a free flow of information - that some people take themselves a "little" to serously & that they can dish it better than they can take it.

Yay! usahog isn't argueing with ME! Oh, I think I'll faint. I had some humerous pokes I was going to take at usahog, but I'm keeping my mouth shut. He's already praying for my soul, and I don't want to double his duty. HAHA, I love you hoggie.

I think if we remove all the flammable material here, we can see where this guy is coming from. He ordered an item and was never told it was on backorder. He had to call to find out, and then it wasn't solved to his satisfaction. Now, I think we can all agree that he has a reason to be upset. No need for insults and whatnot. CB is taking care of it now and hopefully our new friends will be happy with the solution.

Figured I needed to sound off on this one.
PMN1,
I have had this happen to me once. The Item was a 2004 Cammacho Liberty. They were out of stock, and I posted to customer service. They told me they were out, and offered to substitute a 2003 Liberty instead. IMNSHO a better cigar.
There are several reasons an item up for bid can be out of stock. Say they listed an item, someone who had previously ordered, returned defective merchandise, so the one up for bid was sent to them to make up for it. They are now out of stock, not intentionally. If you contacted customer support, as you have posted, they would have given you options. If you choose to ignore thier options, they will refund your money, if they even charged you.
But to post it in an open forum is bad form. For several reasons, here is a couple.
#1. Publically discussing private deals in public is rude.
#2. From personal experience, cbid customer service bends over backwards to make you happy. IF YOU WILL LET THEM.

Also,
You have insulted members of this forum, who I consider friends, and I don't know you from Adam.
Usahog, is a great guy, who is a retired vet, who has fought for your a$$, as well as everyone else in this country, and to show him disrespect, diminishes any respect I could have for you. This respect is quickly reaching the zero mark, and headed towards negative territory.
It will not hurt my feelings, or anyone elses here, if you leave, don't come back, and leave the great deals found here to us.
If people like you did not exist, it would make the world a better place. So since you do, leave cbid, please, and make this a better place.
I am not in the habit of flaming newbies, I save that for the FOGs, but your responses, on this thread have pissed me off. So in closing I say, give cbid customer support a chance to help you. But if you are one of those stubborn bastages that is never happy with anything. Fuc Off.
Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
P.S. The lesson here is don't piss on my friends, and you might become one of them. But piss on my friends, and you make an enemy out of me.

It is unfortunate that **** goes awry.

We should be allowed to vent. Especially when we HAVE contacted CS with a poor or unclear response.

That being said, I hate dictatorships and their flunkies. I hope that Cbid doesn't turn into THAT! They have always been fair and considerate in my view, even keeping up the 'complaint' posts.

Cbid's responses to any problems that I have heard about have always been most generous!

I LOVE cbid, the staff, their products, and MOST guys on the forums (who's your daddy!?)...but, once again, they need to be fair and remember that there's always gonna be a problem when someone brings up false advertising.

Ok, now everyone back to keeping their noses clean!

Good luck and don't let one issue run you off! This is a great place. Especially when you consider the alternatives!

:)

Dear homebrew

I just thought you should know that I just had a really nice disscussion with Roger who intelligently articulated what happened & even though I still won a lot & will not recieve the product I now understand how it happened. That being said If you never kiss me on the cheek I will not miss any sleep over it & secondly while I'm sure your the type of guy who starts thing his friends finish I didn't get that impression from general Hog so while I'm SURE he appreciates your support ,Whatever it may be worth ,leave the shooting to the general.Oh by the way thanks for your input & lets talk again when you move up to single malt brew.

In case you haven't noticed, the faithful on this board are not being jerks, just less than sympathetic. There's nothing in the board rules that says you can't vent your complaint, but as you may have already seen, it's vent and then beware.

Talk to Trish and she'll make it right. These guys here are very good at customer service because, competition for the internet smoke business is huge. They'll make it right. Trust me.
