I grew up with a kid like CB. No matter what he did, how bad it was, he could justify it. Most of the time, it was someone else's fault. Because it was him, it was OK.

I guess it's due to my background but I have a policy when it comes to generousity.... trust your gut instinct. I've seen it used as a distraction or "smokescreen" too many times and usually when my gut tells me something ain't right 90% of the time it was dead on.
