Yep and a group I was a member of was told "take it or leave it". Some of us left and started a new group and now I get to throw people out that don't follow the rules. Things change, but often look about the same.

Wait.

There are other websites to buy cigars, and they often have great deals?

Thanks for the scoop, Trish!

Can we mention the competition if we are saying bad things about them and how they pale in comparison to Cbid? 🤔

But only in the short term.

Then there's a monopoly. Come on cbid, monopolize on the opportunity. Trish, rally the troops and seize the moment. Contact all distributors, USPS, UPS, and the other people and tell them all in one MEGA 500, "You are either with us or you are going to be begging for a job later!" now get out there and push for your Friday. I for one will be drinking lots of wine and so many cigars I want to be the first person airlifted out of a wine festival for nicotine intoxication. DEATH BY PADRON!!!!

Whenever I am tempted to mention a competitor I just think WWWHBS. What would William H. Bonney Say?

Billy would say, "nobody goes to Cbid anymore, that place is too crowded."

The cbid lawn mow badge is going to be hard to get since I'm in Mississippi where is Pedro when you need him.

I get the whole restriction thing, but I can't help of thinking about the movie "Miracle on 34th St." where Santa starts telling people where they can find toys at a better price and Macy's benefits because of the good reputation. There is value to good customer service, even if for this one purchase, someone goes somewhere else. They will be back here again. CBID becomes the starting point and the first place they look.

You know, I get that many of you purchase from other sites and I appreciate that you want to share the possible good fortune with your friends. But mentioning them on this forum isn't allowed. Even veiled comments like "the company with an ocean in its name" is a competitor reference.

Why do you feel the need to do this? Do you go to their forum and talk about CBid? NO? Oh yeah, that's because they don't afford you the benefit of a forum. Here's a thought - why don't you bombard them with emails requesting a forum where you can discuss CigarBid! See how any other company would feel about that.

Please have some respect for company that provides you with free use of the forum. Don't direct people to other websites. Would you go into someone's home and tell the lady of the house that the neighbor is much prettier, cooks better, etc? Would you go to work and tell your boss that you much preferred working with your previous boss? I doubt it.

In short, please keep these types of comments off the boards. Much appreciated.
