I got as far as "they deserve to be heard".

No.
They don't "deserve" anything outside of playing football for the 4 hour timeslot that fans and networks pay them to perform during.

If they want to use their vast wealth and celebrity soapbox outside of those hours, then go git'em Tiger.

Here is the sad FACT:
Most of those who "protested" by taking a knee for 1 1/2 minutes do NOTHING for their cause the remainder of the week.
Despite having the financial means to do so. And the offseason time.

Even Kaepernick was guilted into only after he was caught having a temper tantrum for being benched. Remember way back then? When he wasn't kneeling with a purpose, but just sitting on the bench with his head low. Because he was demoted to third string.
But when called out by the press, he claimed it was a protest. So he wouldn't look like the baby he was.
Genius in hindsight. But don't kid yourselves otherwise.

I appreciate it ewok. Most don't bother... heck look at tail who the instant the author suggests an athlete deserves anything ... stops reading. Because they aren't human beings I guess?... just toys to dance for his entertainment and once they stop being entertaining he throws a tantrum.

With my father awarded the bronze star in WWII, & losing close friends in the Vietnam war, I am sick over this crap. Enough is enough. They made their point!
We have had Giant tickets since 1955, and until yesterday, i never thought about boycotting or selling my tickets. I am giving it one more week & if the players do the same thing, i will not go to anymore games this year. I will eat the cost of the seats & will not give or sell them to anyone. I want my emply seats to show my support for the flag & this great country that lets these azzholes act this way.
Oh yeah Tomlin & Harrison are not good enough to shine the shoes of anyone in the service.
BTW this has nothing to do with the Giants being 0-3

And yet they are protesting racial inequality and justice. LMFAO Give me a f*ckin break. If you don't like it, get he f*ck out and go play football somewhere else. Protest on your own time.

I'm ok with the kneeling...I don't exactly like it, but I respect their right to do it. Somehow, it seems better than sitting, at least.

And, I suppose I'm ok with those that hide inside so they don't have to make a 'stand' one way or another. Hell, I'd be a hypocrite, otherwise....I have to admit that on more than a few occasions I stalled a few minutes to go outside until after morning colors....or hurried inside before evening colors

I've suggested before that the Broncos may have an unfair advantage in the NFL, but no one paid attention to that. Before pre-season started I chose not to watch the NFL because of this BS.

If the protesters really want to make a statement about racial inequality (especially in the workplace), they should give up their multi/thousand or million dollar contract to a white or Hispanic athletes to balance the hiring ratio.
