I'm just pointing out how flawed our healthcare system was and still is.
ObamaCare is not the solution, and it hurts the cause of real solutions to help fix our healthcare system.
But please don't act like our current or previous systems are any good. We spend twice what other industrialized nations do on health care, and have lower life expectancies and higher infant mortality. Pretty sad. But also, don't blame all the problems on ObamaCare. It's not good, and something needs to be done, but the system was broken even before it existed.

Do you get my point?
What tweoijfoi is getting at is....10k deductible is not goin to help much if you get a long-term illness such as , god forbid, cancer. I have a friend who had cancer. Thought he had the best insurance his money could buy, thought everything was covered. He survived and is alive, but he lost everything. Had to declare bankruptcy. Had to go through his life savings, sell everything, so he could fight for his life, for his family.
and on another subject....first of all..I don't think Obamacare is the solution/answer. Don't care for it at all...what so ever. But it seems like alot of people think that before this Obamacare mess, that everything was terrific, fantastic, fine and dandy, hunky dory and all that and then some from the word go, when it came to our healthcare system.
