Back on the hinge refinishing from the old 500.

I worked in a hinge factory from 02-07.

We'd get some of our hinges back for refinishing due to rust in storage and incorrect paint from the customer.

We would remove the pins and send them out to be stripped/acid dipped/passivated and replated. Then we'd reassemble with new pins. Cost was like 70% of a new manufactured hinge. Probably 75-80% once shipping was considered.

Still saved us time retooling and remaking an old production hinge but for a cabinet job I'd just buy new.

Cut off the end of my exhaust pipe that got crushed in the blowout.

Went from a 3" exhaust to about a 1.5x3 inch exit.

Cleaned the camper today, we're leaving again for camping next tuesday when I get done with my work week.

Also learned today that despite working closely with both medical and nursing staff from the cardiac catheterization lab for the past 7+years, that I'm not a qualified candidate for the position I wasted 2 hours interviewing for.

Apparently my disagreement with the cardiac surgical group extends to my ability to fetch supplies and chart on patients in the cath lab. I suspect my manager had something to do with this.

Gonna go back to work for a bit, get the rest of the camping season done, and I'll probably leave the hospital altogether.

The hospital and unit I'm looking at has a couple former coworkers, and the person who has at least 50% say in hire/no hire, is a former coworker, and someone I went to school with, and we have a good mutual respect. Not necessarily get along on a personal level, but we work together well. She asked me to come on board at a continuing education event when we crossed paths. I don't think it will be an issue getting in there.

I just don't want to have to deal with losing the retirement matching, and having to find new doctors for the family with a totally new hospital system. One big thing is this is a catholic hospital. So, wife's birth control will now be 100% out of pocket since they got exemption under obamacare. Used to be $0/mo. Their insurance is not required to cover any of it. Or her visits to the dr for renewals. This may eat up any pay increase I can negotiate.

Plus side is I can negotiate a significant pay increase. Last one that went there got 10% and they have a 5k sign on bonus paid out at 6 months. I'll also cash out my vacation bank if I leave, which is worth about 15k. Not much keeping me here except some hassle.

I'm pretty sure dan has said he doesn't use the wife for sex anyway... I'm assuming the birth control is for other health reasons... (or in case she drugs him and takes advantage if him)

Old English - Wōdnesdæg ‘day of Odin,’ named after the Germanic god Odin or Woden, the supreme god.
Middle English - Wednesdei, "day of Woden"

Maybe the real question is why is it pronounced so weird?

get a vasectomy.

Went to a urologist in 08 and he wouldn't do it. Said I was too young and it's too permanent. Unless I already had kids or I was married and my wife had a condition where she should not get pregnant, he would not snip.

Went to a different one before we got married in 10. He said the same thing but if my to be wife would sign the consent, he would do it. She would not sign, told me she was religiously taking the pill, nothing to worry about. A year later she starts talking about kids.

Went to a urologist I don't particularly like or trust in 2011. Figured hed just do it without question. He said I'm married and under 35, wants wife approval. Didn't even ask her. Meanwhile she'd quit the pill and here we are.

Brought up vasectomy last year and she was still against it. I said we'd be able to have sex again after 5 years now. She won't admit it to me, but with how excited she gets when her friends get pregnant, she obviously wants more. Won't let me get rid of the crib, or the boxes of baby stuff either.

If I go to a Catholic hospital, insurance will not pay for vasectomy. Should probably try again soon, before I leave.

Had another fight with her yesterday. Was talking about kid starting school this fall. Asked where he was going. She wouldn't tell me. Said if she signed him up for church school I would see to it that we do not have the money for that. I draw the line there. My parents sent me to private church school and it Fd up my head so badly I'm still not over it.

Flat out asked her when she was going to leave me. Basically the answer was never, because she knows I would disappear not pay child support or alimony and she'd have to work.
