Nope. Would've loved that though. Food was great and I can eat a lot.

It's been about 25 years ago when I'd try to frequent one in OKC that was all you can eat... Mellow

I lived in Georgia for a year back in 82-83, my dad had 2 waffle houses... I never recall any of them being "all you can eat".

When did tots become normalized as a 'side'?
I'm seeing it more and more.
Tots used to be something mom would serve us kids for dinner with soup or grilled cheese when she and dad were going out.... maybe once every six months or so....now, they are on a lot of menus in actual restaurants

Prolly around 1530. I gotta get up at 0250, so I gotta go to bed before 2000 if I want to get any sleep.

Big bowl of Cheerios with sliced banana for breakfast, this morning.

Dinner tonight will be my first attempt at a pork roast in the smoker.
Rubbed it down last night with that tasty Joe Kem's BBQ Rub that I got in Corey Sellers' 4th of July CAT prize.
Will give it a fresh coating of rub , and insert some garlic cloves today before putting it in the smoker.

The real bummer was when dementia claimed her mind a few years back... they can keep that body going, but without that mind you are a car without a steering wheel...

This one got violent... they put her in a home and every few months took her to the hospital to clear the fluid out of her lungs instead of just letting her die... i can only imagine she hated it...

Atlanta weather has been decent, and supposed to hold out the rest of the weekend.

Bunch of Ferrari Challenge teams were out yesterday and again today for practice. Crazy money in that paddock. Giant tent garages with air conditioning and lifts and stuff. Not to mention the Ferrari race cars and spare Ferrari race cars.

Triple Double Pub from Smashburger with tots.

Pretty damn good, but I think I like the Arizona burger better.

How does the smoke get to the ham,if it's wrapped in tin foil???Anxious

wrapping in foil doesn't hermetically seal the ham... the smoke will seep in though the folds and gaps in the wrap...foil should help the ham retain moisture better than letting it sit unwrapped...don't like dry ham...

it'll be ready in an hour...will report back after dinner...

ham turned out pretty good...brown sugar and honey imparted some extra sweetness...shoulda plugged in a few more cloves because there was just a faint hint of it...definitely moist and the extra smokey flavor/fragrance was a bonus...

Fire ants SUCK!

Legs got tore up during gridlife build out. Thought it was just cuts n scrapes from crawling around on the ground by fence lines hanging sponsor banners. Thought I got hit by a wasp or ten. But it kept burning worse and worse. Legs are red swollen and blistered now.

Fire Ants are practically Mosquitoes.

Just kidding. I'd wash the area well and then put a cold compress on it. Maybe take some Benadryl. fog
