Black coffee and a long walk. Nice Habanos de San Juan with the Sunday paper on the patio. On to some football and golf on the tube and the beers are cold.

Having the beer chilled is the important step.

Got that, Drafter?

1st rule never ever run out of beer

One of our sponsors, Motovicity, had barrels full of free iced beer for us. So I got more. Then as we were walking around other teams were handing out beers.

I ran out of beer, and then got drunk on other people's beer. Good times. Concert was pretty kickass too. Killer Mike slayed it. Slander closed out with an awesome set.

Just got done changing all 4 tires on the trailer. Hopefully fresh rubber gets me home without incident. Third flat I had on the drive down took out the trailer brakes, still gotta fix that.

So....the company which had contracted this beast of a document was pushing to get it finished last week (they got it a few days late... But I'm not too broken up over it since they didn't get me the info I had been asking for over a month for until 2.5 weeks ago...)... The reason they wanted it finished is they have another project hot on the tail of it which now needs to be finished this week...

So I'm digging through the info this am....

And the d1cks are just adding another AHU into the existing doc. ...ugh

Sign #1 you need coffee in the am.... When you start brewing and have neglected to put the pot underneath.

No drafter... But this client is definitely a bit cheaper on the coffee services... We Brew pots here.

Incidentally... After thinking through kcups and the water reservoirs, I'm not sure I would use them any more. One client years ago had them and I'd drink them all day.... But theres a lot of potential for microbiological growth in those water reservoirs... No one ever changes them out.

one of the first things I do at a new job is volunteer to change the water jug in the dispenser... tells you a lot about a company... worst one I ever found was the lab at POM not-so-wonderful...

There oughta be a law against making coffee before you've had a cup of coffee....

How about hitting the 'brew' button before you've put any water in....or

Filling the maker with water....and then forgetting ....and filling the pot with water and putting it underneath...done both of those...and even made a pot without any grounds....or forget to put the reusable filter basket in before adding grounds....been there, too

thx, delta....I'm convinced the worst is past

It's going. Nothing special or interesting. Just working and taking care of the kids....and unfortunately no good time to smoke cigars. I am very much a social cigar smoker, so when I don't have someone to enjoy a cigar with, I tend to not light up any. Maybe I need to break that habit... At least I have the Moose Manor Herf coming up in a couple of weeks!

How are things, sir Delta?

Woke up yesterday for final day at track around 630am.

Track cold at 5p and took down the event stuff, packed the trailers, and rolled out at 830pm.

Drove straight through from ATL to Chicago to drop off, and then home. Got home around 11a. Unpacked and showered, cleaned stuff, did kid's birthday and went out for pizza.

Been up 36 hours. Gonna end that shortly.

Hmm, I am considering buying a project car, I want something that has room to move around in under the hood, but also has a big V-8. Any suggestions?
