Alexa, play fool for love.

Couldn't decide between Alexa and Google, so I got one of each...figured if I'm going to surrender my privacy anyway, I might as well jump all the way. I like them both for music and radio and that is what they are used for 98% of the time. But, Google does get the nod for music. I rely on free music streaming (except, I guess Prime Music is costing me something.) Both will play Pandora fine. But Google does better when getting away from Pandora. This morning, I asked Google to play some surf guitar music and I got a great mix of known and totally unknown stuff. Google does a generally better job when asking for narrower genre mixes.

We pay the extra $5 a month for the unlimited music... I've got some obscure songs I used to listen to and Alexa does a good job of finding them for the most part... But with some very basic stuff, she's useless...

We have a lemon tree that is so full of ripe lemons that it is breaking branches as thick as 1". Have been picking bags full and giving them to the neighbors and even put a few out on the sidewalk for anyone to take.

Wonder how many I could get in a large FRB. Think

Based on rfenst's commentary, I'd rather have the cold?

Snow is nothing more than extra heavy humidity.

I'd take 82 today if it wouldnt be for the likely basement flooding.

It's spring in the desert. Went for a 6 mile hike this morning. Brittle bush, lupine, desert marigold and California poppy and ocotillo are all blooming. Colder than normal, only getting up to 58 today but sunny.

Do you ever walk up upon unpleasant critters on your walk? Rattle Snakes, Gila Monsters, Venezuelans?

Occasionally. Been seeing deer, a tortoise, a tarantula but have not seen snakes as they are holed up this time of year. One hiker found dead yesterday on one of the trails. Indications are it was medical related. Not sure if anyone checked his papers.

The wife saw two bobcats eyeing each other on a neighbor's lawn last week. Love is in the air.

Time to get the grill started. Bone in thick cut pork chops on the gasser tonight. Sides include baked okra, roasted brussel sprouts and baked sweet potatoes.

And probably some more adult beverage.

You people and your blossoming plant life. I only have evergreens and icicle trees. The latter is expected to bloom even more icicles the next couple of days Crying

33 and rainy/snowy.

Shoveled the slush off the driveway. Watered the chickens. Ate some pizza and washed it down with a couple beers.

Time for bed.

hey guys, it's OK...I'm good...

tonyg's Jethro Tull reference made my mind travel back about 50 years...an all-time great album... and combined with ewok's need for protection from the rain, my mind jumped to this folk song by the Serendipity Singers:

Could not sleep for nothing today.

Went to bed at 10, slept till 1130 and then laid there till about 1 ish. Got up and paced the house, laid back down and nothing happened.

Then around 4pm I fell asleep for my alarm to go off an hour later.

Gonna be another long night. Stupid busy at work the last 4 nights, and 2 left to go.

so, you actually did have time to patch delta's roof.

I sure hope that isn't some kind of sexual innuendo.

I think I'm in new Mexico...
Maybe the old one...

Spent all weekend packing all the woman's crap into a "zippy trailer" (oversized pod)... It took forever because I literally packed it floor to ceiling... No empty space. It was the only way to get all her crap in there.

Got to bed 3am Sunday... Woke up by 8 to clean the apartment and pack the car... Again, took forever because I had to fit a damn cooler full of dog food for the trip (heaven forbid they have to eat store bought food)... As well as enough clothing for a week of travel and a week before the trailer arrives.

On the road by 1130am Mon... Made it to lake Havasu City by 10pm.

Tues am drove to the grand canyon... Saw sunset at the grand canyon, spent the night there. Got up early to see sunrise at the canyon (it was a balls freezing 9F)... Then headed out.

Got to wherever I am... Los crusez? New Mexico... At 1030 tonight. Stopped along the way at the meteor crater and petrified Forest.

Tomorrow is white sands and Roswell....
