So as it turns out, I am blind. Nearing a 10 in prescription strength. Also eye doctors do not appreciate my level of frugality when the contacts I'm wearing technically expired in 2016

I’m in a similar boat - -8.75, plus I occasionally need reading glasses, but not ready to go the bifocal route. I do try to change contacts once a month, but I’ve been on the same pair since November.

That's some decent stretching. I never set dates but had the same year's supply since 2009. I enjoy a nicely aged pair of lenses. Makes for a nice blending of colors and takes the edge of all those sharp details that aggravate the eyes.

Yep... And since I work Sundays, that don't mean much.
I prefer the Wednesday- Saturday shift, but at the moment this works because my fishing buddy will be on the same schedule starting mid-March.

Morning everyone. Victor, I hope the move turns out to be a good one for you. Prolly less homeless people with hep pizzing on your sidewalk. As an added bonus you should be able to rant about rednecks.

My daughter just asked me yesterday if we can move someday... She's 4 so I spared her the "ya, you can move my dead bloated carcass from the couch to the coroner van"... I just said no...

#280 ^ the correct answer is "gerrymandering", I think...
all I remember of kindergarten is milk and graham crackers before nap time and Mrs. Haas...she was what I imagined a grandmother would be...liked to give hugs to kids who behaved well...this was back in the 50's when teachers could still have physical contact with their students

There's NO way any of the kids in that class are doing this on their own.
They can't even read the words in the effing question.

yeah....I don't remember the word "integer" until high school algebra...numbers were called "numbers" in my day...you sure that's a real kindergarten level work assignment?

Joined the local gym today. After a week of sitting on my azz driving and eating shiatty food, I needed it....
So I'm getting into the pool... And I ask the guy in the lane a couple over from me if the pool has "pool buoys we can use, or if we have to bring out own"....
He looks at me like I have two heads and asks "Pool boys?"...
.....sigh.... Making friends already....

Dan... Isn't that just subtracting a number into two different numbers? Or am I not getting the phrasing?
Like 6 = 2 and 4
And 6= 5 and 1
?

Took the kids fishing at a lake/park... I knew it wouldn't be great fishing but it's easy access and theres a small playground for the wife to take the kids over to while I do some actual fishing...
Things got a little... ethnic... Which doesn't bother me... Music isn't terrible and I like the smell of carne asada... But when there's like 3 dozen 20-something year old men and like 90%of them are wearing at least 2 pieces of red clothing, I know we've stayed the length of our welcome...
