But as I think about it...the switches and boards and chit that failed the first time after a couple/few years were OEM.....

True true.

But Several times I've replaced a component and assumed good, but the chit still don't chooch. So I then went on to trace down the "real" problem, and after many hours of diagnostics and/or throwing parts at it, find the replacement thing aint no good.

Also, used to carry several parts store spares of distributor internal bits on my old Honda because they would randomly fail. Sometimes a month out, sometimes a year out. OEM parts were made of unobtanium, so even the junkyards were stripped bare and I just had to make do with autozone neverlast parts.

Air conditioner in truck works, but only on the passenger side. Drivers side is stuck on full heat. Stupid digital controls n stuff.

So, I am working on pulling the dash out so I can get at the control motors and test/replace.

Brought it to a shop a month ago for the same. They "recalibrated the actuators" and charged me $100. To be fair, it worked for a while. BUT... the recalibration procedure is to disconnect the battery for a min and then reconnect...

If you want chit done, gotta do it yourself.

Yeah, well... my truck, which I bought new in May 2018 and has 24,300 miles on it, just threw a check engine code today for "electronic throttle control" and went into limp mode. Very slow throttle response, but I got it to the dealer and they're going to perform a couple of recalls while it's there.

1 is for the tailgate latch, which I didn't care about, and the other is an ECU reflash, which may take care of the issue... or not.

They said they had a car for me and I said... um, nah. I have a truck because I NEED a truck and I have a boat to tow and a fishing trip Thursday. They gave me a 2 door hemi with tow pkg. It has my tow ball on it and I'll be towing with it until they fix my truck.

Should they take their time?

Absolutely NOT. I have a crew cab laramie ecodiesel. Bigger, tows better, better mileage, and much better interior and amenities.

This is a 2 door base model. No backup camera, which will make it a little more difficult attaching the hitch. No Alpine stereo system... no bluetooth... no cooled seats! Oh, the huge manatee!!

Many excited people for the beginning of American Throwball season tonight.

Good luck to the spandex-clad gladiators and the colored cloth they represent. (Unless that team wears purple or a lone star on their helmet).

So.... I'd brought a few apples home with me from my mother's tree out back, threw them in the work refrigerator and have been eating them as a snack.

Today, I bit into one and see a brown hole, which I've neatly bit into. And I think I see half of a worm in the hole.

Sigh.

I'm pretty sure I've eaten half a worm.

Ah well, the rest of the apple was tasty.

I already told you that pickup line isn't going to work on me.

Do you try it on everyone?
