Day two of our snowbird guests from Minnesota. They say "oat" when they mean out, make a lot of jokes about snow plows, wonder why all our cars look so shinny and are not rusted out and have pasty white legs like 8trak.

They have been looking at houses but haven't found any with a storm cellar yet.

You want to impress the **** out of them toss out a few "uffda's" and ask them if they want "hot dish" for supper.

They might even mail you a lutefisk! Beer

Worked kicked my butt today, haven't worked that hard in 12 years when I first started. Ugh. Can't wait for this work week to be over already.

Night one of my week off.

I don't like the week on, but the resulting week off is so nice.

Heading up to Cabelas, gun I ordered last week has arrived so I gotta go pick it up.

Actually a decent day at work. It only took 70 days into the year to have it happen.

I might be turning around and selling it.

Someone local that I've bought guns from before (and used to own my local cigar shpo) has an AR with a dedicated 22 upper for a good price. He has someone lined up to buy when he heads a few hours south but isn't sure their schedules will mesh to meet up. I told him if it comes back home, I'll take it. If I buy that, the M&P goes up for sale.

It's pretty cheap feeling in the hand, doesn't feel like a real rifle. It's too late to take it out back, but I bought another thousand rounds of 22 while I was there. Probably take it out back tomorrow if weather's decent.

Wish I had my can, I'd be able to shoot it any time of day/night. Suppressor's at the gun shpo and ATF cashed my tax stamp check, so everything's in place. Just waiting on the OK on my form 4. NFA timelines threads on a few sites I frequent, some people are getting approvals under 50 days. Others are 300 days tho... Just gotta wait. Brick wall

Best thing about Detroit is leaving it.

I beg to differ:

Coney island hot dogs
Buddy's Pizza
Top-notch Jewish deli
Greek and middle eastern cuisine

Chit, I am gaining weight just posting this here!

Morning all. Home made hashbrowns, over easy egg, half a fareway Tex-Mex brat and some of my whole grain sourdough. A little black coffee and this day just got better! BigGrin

A year or two ago, the power company replaced poles along my street. Shortly after, Comcast replaced the lines. Got an email that services were upgraded. But when I called to ask about my still super slow speeds, they said I was on a rural plan or something like that. I was always 2-6mbps down and a consistent 5-6 up. Sometimes couldn't stream both upstairs and basement simultaneously.

Coworker was asking how to setup a 3rd party modem on her comcast, so I logged in to my account to show her and I see my modem listed as unsupported on my main page.

Bought a new modem.

Now 120 down 6 up. Its stupid fast.

I'm going to stock pile with the corrona virus scare I think. Just in case they say we need to stay in the house or something. Gonna be a high carb diet. Lots of beer.

Work called, said they need help tonight.

I told them to pound sand. They put out a call on Monday to get an extra nurse in my unit so that they could float someone to another unit. People who haven't been there a year yet don't float, so they asked all the newbies and got two to pick up, which sent me floating.

Hey, peoples. Good morning.

Leaving Detroit today.

Been very cold here for this Florida boy, but at least I was able to minimize my cousins "killing" each other with their mishegas

My son Noah's spring break begins tomorrow, followed by two more weeks off due to FSU cancelling all classes. He now has to attend his classes online. But it will nice to have him home.

Oh, and before I forget- coney island hot dogs for lunch today!

Decided on formulating a bug out plan for the family...

Costco today for canned and dried foods...

Got a bunch of fishing stuff on the way...

Picking up a heavy duty inflatable boat later in the week...

Scouting Google earth this afternoon for our best walk in access to coyote lake...

Figure if we're gonna have to duck the current or any future viruses, best to have destination in mind where fresh water and food supplies will be abundant...
