My org went over and above today. Three different emails from three different upper Level leaders all starting with variations of Don’t Panic! Don’t PANIC... emails in all caps.. PLEASE READ!... Nobody WAS panicking... now some are. I asked the woman with her hair on fire about the email stating PLEASE READ!

I asked if I shouldn’t read the rest of her emails that don’t say PLEASE READ. Or, throw away without reading the notes that don’t say PLEASE READ. She was confused by the question.

They mandated 30 of the 37 leaders leave the office immediately and work from home for the foreseeable future. Once home, contact your team and let them know you needed to leave immediately but send the message REMAIN CALM! ALL IS WELL!,, Ahhhhh!!!!!

I’m one of the 30.

PLEASE READ was one of the “Essential Seven”.

If 20 people from Iceland were to show up on our shores tomorrow, our whole pussified country would surrender in about 15 minutes. Wtf happened to real leadership?

The “leaders” with their Pom poms and closets full of participation medals are in charge. How can it possibly go wrong?

Start taking Icelandic lessons.

Only three? Between the original sends to everybody and then the repeated forwards to everybody from people who want to make sure nobody missed it the first time, I'm sitting around 70ish virus related emails (maybe 2 dozen of them original). Your company obviously doesn't care deeply enough

Good morning.
My wife is in Boston visiting her family. They are pressuring her to return home early out of fear the airlines will close down based on local reports.
What's the difference? If infected and they don't know it, they all already exposed each other.
It is pure terror. Either way, she has to return by plane unless all flights are canceled, which I don't believe will occur, let alone without a few days of notice.

I hope you're right... I wouldn't bet on it...

just a few days ago, the idea of closing down all schools in this state was out of the question...

Drove out to the dunes national park to do their Maple Sugar Time - they tap trees in the park and make maple syrup in traditional methods.

Get there and chits cancelled.

Ok, we'll go inside the park and maybe hike or something. Trails are open but visitor center was not.

Still was halfway entertaining the idea of going down to FL for a few days, but the place we'd stay at is closing their pools and bars.

Gonna drive down to my inlaws and do some shooting.

Smoked a Pandemonium last weekend. Tasty but a big fugger. Just short of a 3hr time investment. Wasn't even one of the fat gauges. 8.5 x 50 I think

Had some sweetness, some cocoa, a little peppery at points, hints of cinnamon. Didn't get bored throughout. IMO it's worth getting

Whoops, posted in the wrong 500. Hope you all are stealing clear of the virus. To be precautious, I stayed in bed until 2 today. Fat guys like me need their sleep in order to stay healthy. Unfortunately the wife wasn’t buying it and she wasn’t overly happy with me. Oh well. Another day, another dollar.

Hoping to be up by noon today so I can eat lunch with the fam and finally get the taxes done. This is def the latest I have ever done them. That said, I still have at least another month in reality. I do want to get them done though. Hate that it is just sitting out there gathering dust.

Herfing Three cigars at the club tonight. Izon wasn’t there.

Macs,
When are you going back to work and for how long?

There is a potential (just a potential) thought of putting you into a property care taker role Springtime in Gods Country. We can chat offline.

It probably wouldn’t happen, but maybe.

Country life for a bit. You’d want to bring a gun and a fishing pole.

I'm voluntarily going back to work March 25 to May 20. Pretty much because it drops 8 grand into my 401A.

I'd LOVE to take care of the property for a bit... fishing pole, guns and all. I'm all in. Talk to me, goose. I think it'd be great for momma to see what country life is like!! If she likes it... no telling.
