Almost recovered from Thanksgiving. Way to much food. The two cubs and their families were with us for the weekend giving us six adults and six kids under one roof.

I prepared two brisket flats on Tue for Wed nights meal. We had brisket sliders on Fri for lunch and were still eating off of the first brisket. Second flat was split anf sent home with the cubs.

The cubs prepared Beef Wellington for Thur. They prepared two with one being gluten free for their mom. Needless to say that there was more than enough Wellington to go around.

It was interesting to see the Wellington being perpared but it is way to labor intensive for me. Not something I will be trying in the future.

We wanted to do something non-traditional and I guess we achieved the goal.

But, his real-life advice by PM would have been to recommend we hire a designer. NOT!

I hired a designer for the artwork in the house. Nice Israeli gal. She did not care for my existing art that I had been acquiring from around the world.

I hired a designer for our current bathroom remodel. So far, so good.

Up, oatmeal, dog walked in 31 degree, sunny heat. The 12 mph breeze saved us from heatstroke.
4.25 miles on the stat bike over 20 minutes.
Fair amount of hair removal (for more detail, send me $1. Less detail $2).
Showered with some type of lunch next, then an EPL game.
In the early evening, cocktail and a chat with a friend.

Its easier when you have a strong base of art for them to build on.

For instance, if your great room has three wall, I would recommend Dogs Playing Blackjack on the wall where the tv is, and have the side walls adorned with Dogs Playing Pool and Dogs at the Strip Club.

That will be $250, please.

I had peaches and cream oatmeal for breakfast. Delicious, but I am still very hungry.

45 minutes on the stair climber will do that...d'oh!

Mixed a packet of bananas & cream, then added an additional 1/2 cup of old school, straight up oats.

-Fills you up.
-Cuts the sweetness.
-Speeds up the morning splashdown.

I pay them by the hour to take me to their wholesale suppliers, help pick out stuff and get them to let me use their designer discounts to buy goods. I don't by furniture directly from them, only the source.

I think you have seen the library in my office. I paid our guy to design and draw prints for the cabinet maker. Specifications were all the way down to the specific size of dentil molding to be used. Came out like my dream. Only paid like $500 for the plans. Only paid the cabinet maker wholesale (but it was still a major "investment."

I say "investment" because when we had our house appraised inside and out last year, the appraiser added almost $20k for the woodwork!

headed out to the LAZ-Boy store to pick a new chair. Have the original one in the car so maybe I can return it today. Then, I am off to a new pool for laps. My pool is closed for the next 4 weeks for maintenance, so I have to find one I like...

Cloudy almost all morning with quick showers every now and then. Probably make my specialty for lunch - ramen. Or saimin, depending on what's in the freezer.

I can boil water with the best of them! BigGrin

The sun'll come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
There'll be sun
Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow
'Til there's none
When I'm stuck a with day that's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin, and say, oh
The sun'll come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya tomorrow
You're always a day away
When I'm stuck a with day that's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin, and say, oh
The sun'll come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya tomorrow

Snow to stop in an hour or two. Will hold out for that break. Southern breezes suppose to get us up to 40.

Currently 46, headed to 83 today. I was up before the crack of dawn, too. In fact... dawn is still sleeping. It's dark outside at 6am!

I will raise a glass or two later today... made it another year! On the 5th Tank will celebrate 1 year with us.

Good Wednesday Morning! It's 44° on the way to 70° today.

Back to the range today, except I hope to actually get to shoot today, unlike yesterday when I locked my keys in the truck. F**K! I let the OnStar coverage run out, however GM sent a locksmith for $76 which is a little under the going rate. I'll get spare key made now. I had another key and remote fob the sat on top of our refrigerator for years... until it disappeared. Brick wall

Face to face in my yard with a neighbor’s untrained, undisciplined German Shepard.
Got the low growl from him. Owner came out and called her back home.
That gets the juices flowing.

^Pepper spray. It's absolute murder on a dog's sensitive nose, much like a bears.

He'll steer clear of you after that.

Rant on:

Son got bar entrance exam score today. Pretty much same as last time. 87th percentile. Probably won't get him in to Florida, but he thinks that will get him into FSU. He would be a "Triple 'Nole," a tradition there, which could afford him guaranteed scholarship money. He got really, really franked over by the entrance exam crashing on him twice. His only other real option now is to take a year and restudy to be 100% fully prepared for the exam properly, while working and traveling. He would just need to learn to get 6-8 more questions right and he'd be the 92-94th percentile and would be in good shape to get in to Florida. He tells me other kids study for up to a year extra, to boost their scores just enough to get in. That's crazy IMO. I am voting for FSU...

Rant off. Thank you.

Whoa! I had that happen with a neighbor's pit bull when we lived in Laguna Nigel, CA. It was a nice neighborhood with lots of kids running around. I told the owner he had to keep the dog under control and if it threatened or injured one of my sons I'd shoot the dog. He told me I had better not harm his dog or else. I told him I would shoot the dog and him too, there is no reason to have an aggressive dog running loose in a neighborhood.

I've had a couple of dogs bite, I was minding my own business and I don't believe in bothering, bugging, teasing etc, animals, but I'll be dammed if I'll ever have it happen again.
