Not too many good NFL games today the best being in Germany. Prolly watch some of the Nascar championship race since it's in Phx. Best game is tonight but now ends an hour later near my bedtime and even worse for youse guys "back east". Humbug!

Executive decision. The cat is now named Nitschke but the kids are sticking with his previous name, Jasmine. Poor cat, he'll have a personality disorder. He might need a cat therapist. (I wonder if my insurance covers that?)

Funny thing was, the House and Senate agreed to make daylight saving time permanent.
Then they must have realized the Other Side liked it and backed away from the plan.

Seasonal weather here. Rams are 2 miles away. Packers are favored? W w w why?

Picking up more Christmas light to put up on the house.

When I first started doing it, I just had it along the front of the house. Last year I added a string to the west side because the front wrapped around like 3ft on that side and looked incomplete. Adding a string to the east side this year.

I hate Christmas decorations. But the kid loves em, so I do it.

I'm a loving person. I wouldn't kick a cat much less one that is named Nitschke. He might kill me in my sleep.

Thank goodness I no longer dabble! I woulda put $$$ on the Packers but on edge for most of the game. Tough enough to cheer for a victory, let alone covering the spread. Thought fo’ sure GB was gonna somehow blow the game. At least Sunday dinner will taste good.

Dallas vs Philly... If only they could both lose.

Packers won but they still need to grow in order to be a contender.

Bills vs Bengals. I have no dog in the fight but a friend of mine is a born in Buffalo Bills fan so I'll root for them.

I was talking with a buddy of mine about a discussion we had before the draft. We both said CJ Stroud would be the better QB. So far we were right.

That game vs Georgia sold me.

Mulching kit finally arrived for my mower.

Installed it and mowed leaves for 3 hours.

Then I get a text from a neighbor. I asked him if he'd sell me his leaf vacuum a few years ago after he had a bulldozer in his yard pulling up all the trees. Big thing tows behind the mower has its own engine and chipper/vacuum. I would love to have one but I just got the mulching kit... I'll regret passing on it for $500.

Yesterday I mowed bout 4 1/2 hrs between the leaf mulching and push mowing. No mulch kit for me though, and surprisingly the grass actually needed cut. No problem seeing the line. Had been two weeks since last cut.

What yr is your Cub Cadet Lt50? Have you had any problems with it? Ours is a 2023 with 46 hrs on it.

Our other rider is a 2003 Cub Cadet 1515 with around 470 hrs on it. It was given to us by a family member before we moved up here. The manual for it says change oil every 100 hrs, but this new one says every 50. How many hrs do you run yours bf you change oil? Im leaning toward 100 for the new one too.

Bought mine in 21. About 120 hours last I noticed.

I just do an annual service. Check tires, grease zircs, change oil and filter, change air filter and a full wash.

What ultimately does mowers in for me is the tree roots. Both tearing up decks and tearing up steering components. My front wheels are already toed out and spindles bent after 3 seasons.

Jasper Nitschke, the cat, seems to have lost or misplaced his play ball bell thingies. He plays soccer with them night and day. At last tally there are 4 lost or under something outside his reach or hidden somewhere. He's on his last of the package of 5 that I bought for him. Good thing: they keep him exercised running around chasing it. Bad thing: at 3 AM and he bolts around it wakes you up. It's rather funny to watch as he carries it around like a dog. I swear he was a dog in a past life.

It would be interesting to see him chase a mouse. I don't want or think there will be any mice coming in the house but if they do look for a safe haven from the weather and free food, he'll sniff it out. Hopefully he'd just kill it rather than bring it to me as a gift to share.

Did the oil change on wife's RAV. Toyota makes things so easy. Remove a small panel... filter and drain plug right there. Easy peasy, no muss, no fuss, no drips. Done in 5 minutes.

Contrast that with my truck... anti-roll bar is right in the line of the drain plug, so it splashes everywhere. Then the filter is up higher, so you have to put your hand up by hot parts and it'll also splash everywhere... so I use a gallon ziploc bag to catch everything... pain in the ass.

Still rather do it myself.
