When my school had us read Horton hears a who they taught us it was not only plausible but it was fact and the whole community rallied behind it. It was uncomfortable because neither I or my family believed it but I had to go along with it. Now I understand it is indeed true and the indoctrination was for my own good.

Curse that grinch.

Several teams and players, and athletes from other sports, have been expressing support for the victims. Many have even visited them in the hospital.

I wasn't talking about holiday celebrations at all.

My fault frank, I was just trying to help merge the two hijackings.

So it's only Radical Atheists that complain about the Christmas pagent?
It still seems contradictory to what they claim they believe.
If you "know" that god doesn't exist, then Christianity is just fiction. And nobody would ever complain that the school was putting on a fictional play. I mean, who would protest Horton Hears a Who?

LMFAO, look at you get claps for this chit. I feel like I dropped IQ points just reading it.

I mean, Radical Atheists??? They putting on suicide vests and blowing up churches? They're just competing in public land usage and making sure that one religion (your religion) isn't dominating public grounds because they want to avoid living in a theocracy... totally inline with their beliefs.

The only one I see offended by their actions is you dude. Why so butt hurt? Your manger scenes still get to be put up assuming that the government workers aren't too lazy to do it.

Last 2 sentences are just troll baiting. Seriously if you don't know the difference between someone pushing an agenda vs a simple children's story, then I can't talk to you anymore... my time would be better spent talking to a wall.

If it's about the grey matter, then try using it.

I'm not saying that separation of church and state aren't important.
I'm saying that a nativity scene and christmas tree don't cross that line.

But you're "serious" about such things?
I know you can't possibly be offended by such things.
So the only logical explanation for your whining is that you're trying to make a point.

I know the religious right thrust their business into everyone's pie hole.
But the atheists are offended by an entity that they claim doesn't even exist.
And that makes it 10X more pathetic.

What in the splinter of hell are are you talking about?

NOBODY objects to nativity scenes in front of a church, on a front lawn, over your mantel. Hell, when I see a menora in a shop at the mall, I say bully for them.

State backed and displayed religious icons are an entirely different matter. Nobody should allow a religious icon in a court room, public school or municipal building. Would you like to be in a court room with a Star of David on the wall?

Oh, and the atheists and believers alike that repect an individual's right to choose a faith and not be subject to anothers are the ones with their eyes on the ball. And you should be greatfull for them.

OK. So reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.
Fine.

The "radical atheists" jab was a silly take on what you were suggesting. To state that atheists aren't the ones fighting the things I mentioned is pure denial. So I ran with that. Didn't mean to befuddle you.

Let's try a different approach.

Atheism: A Non-prophet organization.

Dude. I gave you some comedy gold (and your new bumper sticker) and you're still attacking?
Just like an atheist to get completely bent and then redirect their anger.

Nah. It proved not to be profitable.

Do they let you have Internet access when you are sheltered in place and they are looking in your underwear drawer for fugitives?

No sir, not offended. Just doing may part as a highly valued liberal asset of Cbid to gently raise the level of intelligence here – yes, sometimes a fork truck is need, but there you go.

I suppose I do understand your fear and loathing of atheists. It is the knee jerk response to things one does not understand. You prolly feel the same way about TV remotes….

Z, Public schools are a guvmut institutions and as such should not display or push any one religion.

Now a display of the religious icons of the world is one thing, educational and all. But having a crucifix alone hanging in the cafeteria amounts to the school packing Christianity – and that’s what private schools are for…

When I read what Z said, I was picturing a school official banning a student from wearing a cross necklace.

If that was the case, I would agree, the school would have no business telling a student they couldn't wear their religion on their sleeve (or in this case around their neck).

A student wearing a Cross, Star of David, or a burka is their right of religious expression and a public school (as an agent of the guvmut) has no right to stop them – nor should they.

Alright, I won't tell him about my harmony that controls my tv, amp, fans, roku, computer, xbox, blue ray player, refrigerator, dvrs, security, garage door, porch lights, house lights, microwave, rc cars, and all the other devices I have hooked to it.

Pretty sure he at least owns a "clicker" though.

It is pretty simple for the separation of church and state is absolute and makes sense. Any form of government cannot display religious anything.

And yet our little forum, like our world, is filled with misconception, self righteousness, and outrage.

Just 'cause it's simple, don't mean peoples have them a clue....
