You may have plantar fascitis 8. Gotta let the inflammation die down with RICE: rest, ice, compression and elevation. Rest and ice is especially important, and elevation too if there is swelling. Wrap the foot and use a frozen bottle of water to ice it down and massage it. While sitting, put the frozen bottle on the floor, put your arch on the bottle and gently roll it for as long as needed to stop the pain.
I wouldn't do long walks until the pain stops happening after walking. PF is tough to get rid of, and can re-occur...
